Gabby's Confessions

Dear Diary, 

Our next challenge is in an hour, but Gabby told me about some stuff this morning. I don't want to make it too personal if she gets uncomfortable, so I'll do the basics as best as I can. 

About twenty minutes after I got out of the tent. I heard a yawn and then a cheerful voice say "Good morning, buddy! How did you sleep?" I wrote "Very good, and you?" She replied to my question and also asked if my paper was recycled, which I said yes to. Fun fact about my father, he recycles all the time and convinces people to do the same. Anyways, Gabby thought I was very responsible for recycling my notebook papers, and yes, I am really proud of that. 

She then frowned a bit, and then said...

"Um, I wanted to...apologize for last night..."

I quickly wrote back

"No need to say sorry! I don't blame you leaving our conversation after how Grett treated you."

"Are you sure?"

"Of course! I thought about it and realized why you walked away. What even happened with you two?"

Then she confessed something...concerning, I'll admit.

"During the challenge yesterday, Grett formed an alliance with me and Miriam, and I guess that made her the boss." 

"Is it like a girl's alliance?" I wrote.

"That's what she said. I don't know what to think of her now. I just really miss Ellie."

I shrugged, meaning I didn't know who she was talking about.

"Oh! Ellie, she's on the purple team, we met yesterday and bonded a bit before I got swapped here."

Poor Gabby. It's only day two of this camp experience and she's already separated from her practically closest ally and being bossed around a bit. 

"I think you should go talk to her." I wrote to her.

"Really? Are you sure?"

"Of course! She's your closest ally! I think I'm gonna stick with the boys as my closest allies! But, we can provide an update if we need to."

"Thanks, Drew!"

Then Tom came towards us. 

"Hey Gabby, can you grab some sticks for the fire?"

"Of course! I'll be back soon, guys!"

Then Gabby took off in a joyful mood.

The end was nice, but I'm still worried about Tom. He sort of asked that question in a bossy like way, at least to me. I'm going to have to give myself a little name if I'm going to investigate him any further.

I guess I will call myself...

Whatever Tom is really hiding, I'm going to find out about it! This is exactly why I'm sticking with the boys, because Tom has seriously got some explaining to do. Gabby has already been covered  by the girls, Grett especially, so hopefully I won't have to worry about her right now. Otherwise, we have to start heading to the challenge zone! See you soon, sidekick!
