Dear Diary,
Night 23...how is only a week remaining until the finale? I can't believe it, either.
So, Grett this morning after breakfast, decided to chat with me and Dan. She actually apologized to us for what she did and we had a quick chat afterwards with her on helping her be proud of herself, not having everyone else proud of her. After chatting, we went our separate ways before lunch.
Following the 2nd meal of the day, we were told that Gabby and Tom were on their way. Once they arrived, I was shocked to see Tom without a mask. He had scars all over his face and arms. I decided to go talk to him and he admitted to voting me off a couple weeks ago. We both apologized, me with my notebook, obviously.
Then Gabby came up to me excitingly and told me that she and Ellie actually kissed! I was very proud of her sticking to my advice. She thanked me for it and asked me if I could help cheer on Ellie if she made it to the finale. I smiled and gave Gabby a thumbs up.
All of us, even Grett, were together for dinner. Will, me, Nick, Lill, Ashley, Dan, Gabby, Grett, and Tom. Our rooms were divided into four. Me, Dan, and Gabby in one (Gabby and Dan also apologized to each other for everything else that happened with them following my absence), Will and Ashley in the second, Nick, Lill, and Grett for some reason in the third, and Tom in his own room.
After dinner, we heard Grett screaming and decided to see what was happening. "I'M NOT SLEEPING ON THE FLOOR! I WANT ONE OF THE BEDS." she shouted at Nick and Lill. "That's enough, if you're not going to stay in here, stay outside on the bench." Lill commanded. "Ugh, this is so unfair." Grett slammed the door and ignored the rest of us who were watching from the outside hall. Will, Ashley, and Tom went back to their rooms, while me, Dan, and Gabby went back to our room to watch for the bus's arrival. Our room was upstairs from Nick and Lill's (and formally Grett's I'm sure) so we could view the bus easily.
Once it arrived, we saw Jake. "Ugh, not him." Gabby groaned. "What happened with you two?" Dan asked. "We got into a fight the day I got eliminated." Gabby said. "Was it that night you and Ellie kissed?" I wrote. She nodded in response, then we looked back down as Jake sat down on the bench to read the patreons.
Jake headed upstairs after checking in and me and Dan greeted him. "Heeeyy, guys! Long time, no see!" he said. "I wouldn't say that, it's only been about a week to two." Dan replied.
"Uh, is...Tom here?" Jake asked. We nodded and he sighed.
"We, uh...we kind of had this friendship and romance thing going on, then I voted him out, but he used his totem to save me because I told him to, and I just...I feel stupid." Jake said as Gabby came out. "Wow. I'm sorry to hear that." she said. "I'm also sorry for fighting you before."
"I'm sorry about that, too, Gabby. I just hope I can do the same with Tom."
"I'm sure you will."
"Thanks, Gabby." Jake said.
I was confused on Tom and Jake's relationship. It sounded complicated for sure. How else am I supposed to explain it? I don't know if they'll be able to mend things with a rollercoaster relationship like that. A few days left are here now, so I'll have to use them wisely.
Your friend,
Drew
