TW: Death Of Animals, Fire
Dear Diary,
I've done fifteen entries of this and we are still only on night six. What if I get to 50 entires by the time day 30 ends? I guess we'll have to wait and see.
So, I guess I should say why I'm here. We...we talked with Nick, and, he really did have some things to say, but a lot of his anger let loose tonight, and I'm proud of that.
We headed to dinner around six and decided to head to the coffee shop right next to the motel. Nick arrived a few minutes later and immediately sat at our table.
"I'm, I'm ready now." Nick said.
"So, someone burned my stuff and Ashley's stuff, but I don't know who it is."
"So that's why you done have your hat or sweater!" Will said.
"Exactly, I was mad about that. I've had them for years. I wore them after my parents yelled at me or when nobody wanted to comfort me when something bad happened. I felt very lonely. I had three cats to keep me safe, Tabitha, Margarita, and Eliza. They made sure I was happy, and I really wanted to take care of them, but my parents put that priority to our servants. But four years ago, my parents were throwing a 1920's themed house party, but during that, there was a fire at the mansion, and everything was lost, even my cats, but not my sweater and hat. I've held on tight to them ever since, but now they're gone, too. I feel like I've lost everything I adored. Now I have to return to my parents house with them scolding me for losing them because of how expensive they are, and I won't be able to repay them because I don't have an occupation."
"Whoa, I'm so sorry, Nick." Will said, with me nodding in agreement. "I can't believe you went through all that."
"Yeah, I felt like being rich I had everything, but now I have nothing." Nick said sadly.
"I think you've got a chance at this motel. Have you seen several people helping us here?" Will said.
"Yes, they've been welcoming despite my...behavior."
"That's okay." I wrote. "Wonder why they even have them here, let alone a small room for dining, at a MOTEL."
"Yeah, that's really weird to me." Will replied. "I just hope that's only for this show. Don't want anyone getting tricked like that. It's...scary."
That's when I realized that Will may be right! That's why there's a dining area here, it's actually another motel room! And the staff are just here for the show, minus the people who actually work there full time.
But I'll admit, hearing Nick's backstory hurt. It was devastating. I think he'll get something better one day, but he's really gotta let go of that rich kid behavior first.
I'll see you tomorrow, diary, and I've heard there's going to be another elimination.
Your friend,
Drew
