Chapter 45: Time to Meet Xavier

We boarded the flight, and all the kids were very quiet. They had books and things to keep them occupied. Liam was in a mood today; Izzy was scared, Samuel was quiet, and Samantha was nervous. 

We flew straight to Memphis and got something to eat before we left the airport. The kids were all starving, so we found a restaurant and ate. We got our rental car, which was a third-row SUV.

Thankfully all the kids were old enough and tall enough they didn't need carseats anymore. We climbed in and drove to the hospital. 

I received my test results yesterday, and I was a match. So, while we were here, I was going to discuss the procedure with his doctors. 

Mom, Dad, Zander, and Stephanie were flying in to meet him in three days to give us time first. Then, they would fly the kids back while we dealt with the procedure. Ken and Karen would fly in to help Tessa while I was going through and recovering from the procedure she needed family.

We arrived at the hospital and parked. We climbed out, and my nerves were going crazy. Tessa squeezed my hand as we walked in and found his floor. We walked to the door, and she stopped.

"Maybe we should wait out here while you meet him first?" 

"No, baby, we are in this together. You are my wife, and we are going in together. Thank you for trying to be respectful, but I can't do this without you."

"Okay, I am here." 

He knocked and walked in. We followed as his son sat there looking at us. His ex sat in a chair. Fuck she was hot, like beach babe hot. Now, I felt very insecure as he squeezed my hand, knowing what was going through my mind. 

"Hey, you made it. Sweetie, Xavier, this is Zed."

"My father. You always said I looked just like him, and now I understand why."

"Hello, Xavier; it's nice to meet you. This is my wife, Tessa, and our children, Liam, Izzy, Samuel, and Samantha." His expression was just like Zed's; he smiled.

"So, you are my step-mother, wow. If I'm bad, will you spank me?"

Tessa blushed and laughed, "Zed, just like you, babe." Everyone laughed.

"Xavier, be nice. Don't be showing out."

"Mom, she's hot. All my friends say you are, but you are my mom, but she, on the other hand, is not. I have to say a good job in the women's department, Zed." Meanwhile, Liam is staring at Sasha.

"I must admit, Xavier, the way you are feeling about my mom, I am feeling about yours."

"Liam," Zed called him down. 

"Oh my god, there are two of them," Tessa said as she held her hand over her face. 

"I am going to step out and give you all time. Baby, I will be back in a couple of hours."

"Mom, stop calling me, baby."

"Sorry, son." She grabbed her purse.

"Kids, can you guys talk for a minute and give your mom and me time to speak to Sasha alone."

"Sure, Dad." They all responded.

They walked out and walked down the hall to a waiting room. "So, Tessa, it is nice to meet you."

"You as well."

"Tessa, I have to say something. I know I threw a major curveball into your perfect life, and for that, I am so sorry. My son's life depended on it, and I am so thankful you are a match and that you are willing to do this for him, Zed."
