Today was the first day of school, I wasn't nervous cause I've been in this school since 8th grade so I didn't have to worry about friends.
"morning mom." I said sitting next to her
"morning sweetie, are you ready for your first day?" she asked as put on her Nike sneakers.
My mom had to walk to work since we couldn't afford a car. And all that. My father had another family in Boston and we live in Miami
He didn't really take of me, but nobody had to know that."mom, I'm in grade 10,i know the people. Of course I'm ready"
My mom just chuckled at that before kissing me on the cheek and walking to the door "love you!" I heard her say "Love you too" I shouted back.
I wore my uniform which was a white plaited skirt and a black jersey with a white shirt underneath. And black school shoes.
I did my hair then light make up, before living the house. My mom worked very far and that's why she had to leave before me. I also have to walk, for obvious reasons.
I got to school then started looking for my friends. I spotted them at the stairs "Heyyyy yall" I shouted, making people turn to look at us,but I ignored them and went to hug them
"energetic as always huh Melanie?" my friend August asked with a laugh "yeah bro. I'm happy to be back" I said pretending to fix an invisible tie.
He just laughed at my antics. "hiii, Mel" my other friend Lara, said "girrrlll where is the energy?" I asked trying to hype her up
"at home" she sighed out.
I greeted everyone else before realising my best friend wasn't there. "where is Alice?" I asked everyone. "she's not coming this week, a family member of hers died and she has to attend the funeral"
Oh, why didn't she tell me tho
I sighed before getting in line to get my new class. I was kinda relived to see two of my in my class;Candice and Camila.My best friend wasn't in my class however, but I guess you can't have your cake and eat it too [A/N don't even know what that means]
My best friend was however in my Business, CAT and Consumer class.
We pretty much spent the whole day in 1 class not learning cause my school enjoys doing that the first week of school.
I had been wishing that my crush would be in my class, but I guess God ignored them, he did however listen to half of them since she would be in all my classes.
