It was the second week of school and we were finally changing classes which meant I could see my crush, River
"Alicceee" I screamed before jumping into my best friends arms
"where were you? I almost died without you!" I said pretending to cry
"im sorry babe, a family member of mine died" she said rubbing my back
"and you didn't think to tell me?" I said pretending to cry even more
"I'm sorryyy" she said pretending to cry too
"So how was it?" I asked as we walked to our class
"how was what?" She asked
"How was Jamaica, duhhh" I asked looking at her like she's stupid
"it was great, I enjoyed myself since I was away from you!" she said
I gasped before faking being hurt "well for your information, I enjoyed it while you weren't here" I said turning my head
"okay" she said getting into class
"wait! Mrs Wonderland!" I said before bursting out laughing at the nickname I gave her
I walked into my Consumer class behind her. The teachers made us sit according to our register I thanked the heavens both Alice and River was close to me.
"Hi Mel" she said looking into my eyes before smiling
"hi River" I smiled back and fuck! That was the only conversation we had the whole period
I packed up first and waited for Alice to finish packing since we where going to business together.

I only said hi to her, 'Why Mel why' I asked myself as I walked home. As soon as I got home I did my chores before sitting and watching TV
2 hours later and my mom was back from work. "hey sweetie" she greeted
"hi mom, how was work?" I asked and she just looked at me before sighing
That bad huh?
My mom ended up making Pasta with chicken.
We ate in silence before she started talking "any boy you like other there?" she asked and I knew she talking about the guys at my school
"No mom, no one" I sighed out
She just nodded her head before continuing with her food

"wasssup black people!" I said greeting my group of friends even though 3 out of 6 weren't black I still say it
"hey" Camilla said and everyone else
"where's yalls energy?" I asked
"at home?" Lucas said
"Did you even do your homework Mel?" Candice asked
"tf? We had homework?" I asked
"see, I told you she wouldn't do it" Candice said to Camilla
"I forgot, I didn't do it on purpose" I said giving her the side eye
I then felt hands on my shoulders so I turned around, to see Alice
"my wife!" I jumped before hugging her
"where? I don't see her" she said looking around
'Damn' I heard Lucas whisper
"you, Alice you" I said softly even though I knew she was acting confused
"ohhhhhh, I see. I don't wanna be your wife" she said turning to our group of friends
"Damnnnn" I heard people say
"what about our kids?" I asked her
"what about them? I'm taking them and the house and cars" she said smiling
I then started fake crying but then I saw people looking at us and immediately stopped before we burst out laughing.
My first class was English so I had to say bye to Alice and go with Candice and Camila to class
"So... How are you guys" I asked feeling like the third wheel since the two get along so well and vibe with each other while I'm just... There
"we good" they both replied, you would think they're sisters because of the hair, height, face basically everything but they aren't even cousins.
We got into English class and I chose to sit behind them, I was waiting for it to be period 4 so I can see River, but the first period didn't even want to finish.
And we were here for 3 periods.
As soon as the4th period I striked I ran out of class then pretend I ran just to see Alice.
"Mrs Wonderland!" I screamed for her She turned around and smiled at me
"how was English?" she asked
"I didn't even pay attention, was thinking about someone"
she just smiled and didn't ask me who it was and that's what I loved about Alice, she'd never poke her nose into anyones business. Best Friend or not.
I felt someone pull my hair so I turned to see River "bitch!" I said to her
"who's a bitch?" She said coming closer and pushing me against the wall
"welp" I heard Alice whisper before getting into class
"no one" I said looking into her blue eyes
"that's what I thought" she said before getting into the class. Turns out our teacher wasn't here and there was a substitute so we just did whatever we wanted.
River passed us while me and Alice where taking pictures and Alice slapped her ass but River turned and looked at me
"who did that?" she asked
"Alice" I said. I then looked at Alice "tell her it was you" I said but instead Alice just gave that sweet smile of hers.
"I'll get you back" River said to me before going to her group of friends
"Wonderland you see what you did!" I whisper shouted. Alice looked behind me before asking me to pick up the pen she dropped earlier as a bend down, I felt a, hard slap on my bum making me jerk up and turn around really fast
Just to see River standing there licking her bottom lip and rubbing her hand
"it WaSNT mE" she said mocking my voice before walking away
