Me and River walked back to class in awkward silence.
"oh! you found her, are you okay melanie? You were gone for a while" My teacher asked
"um yeah I'm okay, just girl problems" I said to her and she nodded her head not asking further questions
"girl problems" River said under her breath with a scoff
"have anything you wanna say River?" I asked turning to face her
"you lied to the teac-"
"you lied about your relationship with Ophelia too but did I complain?" I retorted
"when did I lie?" She asked
"on my birthday River, before we did the deed I asked if your were with anyone cause I didn't wanna be a home wrecker and you said no!" I said
That instantly shut her up.
I just rolled my eyes and sat down waiting for the bell to ring so I could go see Alice.
As soon as the bell rang I was the first one to leave the class and walked to Alice's class to find her already walking with Camilla and Candice.
I felt a bit hurt since we had planned to walk together today. But I didn't let it bother me because Alice can have friends too.
On my way home i walked into a shop so I could buy me food. With the way I ate you'd think I'm fat, or at least thick but no. I'm slim, I decided on buying a packet of Doritos, and 2 monster energy drinks and a sausage roll for my mom.
"Do you really eat that much?" Ophelia said behind me..
Where the hell did she even come from
"yep" I kept my answer short
"your litrally so lucky,if I eat anything with too much calories I gain a LOT weight" she said with a giggle
"cool" I said paying for my things
"did I do something wrong Mel?" She asked softly and I instantly felt bad for the way I'd been treating her
"no Lia, you did nothing wrong, I'm just tired" I told her with a smile
"ohhh makes sense for the 2 monsters" she said pointing to my two energy drinks
Being honest monster doesn't give me any energy, I drink it like juice cause it doesn't do anything
"mhm-mhh"
She smiled before walking to pay for her stuff and I couldn't help check her out, her ass was big and round while her waist looked so small and her boobs looked like they would spill out of her uniform.
I nodded my head thinking of why River Was attracted to her and not me.
I wasn't Jealous of Ophelia's body if anything I was impressed at how beautiful it looked even in our black and white school uniform.
When I got home I saw a missed call from my dad then decided to call him back
"Hi sweetheart" he said
"Hi dad, how are you doing" I said opening my Doritos and stuffing my face with them
"I'm great, how's your mom?" he asked like he cared
"she great, how's Kevin?" I asked, Kevin's my little half brother who's 4 years old, we a share a dad but not a mom
"he fine, he's playing in the streets right now but let me go call him" I heard my dad getting up
Yep you heard that right, the 4 year old is playing on the street, but I guess it's okay cause there's probably other kids playing with him.
My baby brother never learnt English cause his mom's Spanish so that's what he learnt, so then me, my dad and my older brother learnt Spanish so we could communicate with him... And yes I have an older brother
"Hola" I heard his cute voice say
"Hi my baby, how are you?"I asked him
[A/N I'm gonna write in English cause it would be complicated for people who don't understand Spanish for them to go translate]
"I'm good, I'm playing right now" he said sounding excited
"really? Well I'm gonna come see you soon so we can play together" I told him a smile appearing on my face as I heard his excited giggles
"yessss" I heard him jumping
"where's mommy, can I talk to her" I asked
"okie" I said before handing the phone to his mom
"Hi Mel" she said also speaking Spanish, she could speak English but it was a bit hard for her so we learnt Spanish for her
"Hi Alicia, how are you"
"I'm good, your brother misses you" she said Referring to Kevin
"I miss him too, can't wait to visit"
Me and my step mom talked for a while before I talked to my dad again and hung up.
By the time my call was done, I had already finished eating my doritos and was waiting for my mom to come back home so she could cook dinner.
I was drinking my energy drink when I saw River trying to call me, I instantly answered but I didn't wanna seem desperate so I said
"what is it River"
"can I come over" the hell?
"why?" I asked
"I wanna ask you something"
"you can ask over the phone River" I said faking annoyence when deep down I was wondering what she wants to ask
"well... Me and my friend are going somewhere over the weekend and they said to bring a girl,so do you wanna be my date?"
What about Ophelia?
"out of all the girls you know, why would you ask me?...But sure, why not" I said getting excited at the the fact that River wanted me to be her date
The line went silent for a minute before I heard a group of people laugh including River herself
What?
"that was a prank!" River said in between laughs and I felt tears fill my eyes
"I knew it! It didn't make sense as to why you'd ask me,out of every girl in the school. It just didn't make sense" I said Fake laughing with her but tears were streaming down my face
"is that all tho?" I asked her as more tears ran down my cheeks
"yeah" she said before hanging up
If there's one thing I learnt in life is that when someone fake asks you out for a joke and their group of friends laugh when you say yes... You are considered ugly.
I expected this from the boys in my school, but River?! She never seemed like the type to play with someone's feelings like that
But I blamed myself for saying yes when I knew she had a girlfriend, so I'm the only one to blame anyway.
