We were in Consumer and the teacher was explaining how to make Honey mustard chicken when River whisperd to me
"Do you know how to cook" she asked
"Nope" I said with a pop of the 'p' sound
"so how will you cook for your kids?" she asked
"well that's why I chose this subject annddd I'll marry a guy who can cook" I said smiling proudly at my statement cause it makes sense
She hummed before looking at the teacher who was explaining. I shrugged and started writing down notes.
"Melanie I've been watching you and you can't seem to stop talking" My teacher said
Tf? This bitch!
"but ma'am, I've been quiet the past 2 minutes" I replied cause I was not about to let her lie
"what?" she asked looking me dead in the eyes as if daring me
"never mind" I mumbled and the class laughed
"I literally saw you talking and now your back chatting me" she said
I just nodded my head before going back to writing my notes, I wasn't about to go to the principal's office. I can't do that to my mother.
As soon as the period ended I got out of class and walked to the toilet. I did my business then retouched my hair.
I had to look pretty at all times it's a must.
Since it was break I met my friend's outside and noticed it was just Lucas, Autumn,Camilla and August
"What is up black people!" I said out loud
"wassup white girl" Autumn said sarcastically
Autumn turned to Camilla "where's your sister?" she asked
"she's not my sister" camilla said with a attitude
"twinnsss" Autumn said before we all burst out laughing... Except Camilla
Instead she sat down on the ground and took out her lunch.
Before she started eating it, I kinda felt bad for her cause I knew what it's like to be the outcast of the group and the bullied one but I can't do anything about it.
"Can you buy me a monster and a packet of lays?" I asked Autumn, she nodded before heading to the tuckshop
Yes my situation at home was bad but nobody had to know that. At home things were getting tougher and tougher yet I still came to school looking like a rich bitch and buying food everyday. Where do I get the money you ask? I babysit for this one lady and she pays me $10-15 dollars per day depending on how long it took her to come back from work.
So at school I act like this rich girl when deep down I know I'm not, but nobody knew... Except Lara she'd been to my house a million times before and knew everything.
"Wonderland!" I said jumping into her arms... Yes Alice didn't know either
"chill out girl" she said laughing
"so what are we eating?" I asked looking into her lunch bag
"what do you mean 'we'?" she asked taking out a delicious looking sandwich
"you know what I mean Wonderland... Please?" I begged and Lucky for me she gave in
"Romeo, Romeo where are thou Romeo?" Autumn said returning and pretending to look for me
"I is here Juliet" I said because we both knew nothing about romeo and Juliet
"shall I have some of your lays?" she asked handing me my monster
"thou shalt not-" I started saying
"shut it! Both of you. God I've never been so embarrassed by you idiots" Lucas said putting his hand on his waist, Lucas acted a bit gay but never wanted to admit it.
"Ohgay sir!" Autumn said putting her hand on her head like a soldier
"bitch I will slap you so hard you'll be Winter" he said looking down at her since he was really tall
"you really thought you ate?" I asked him
With an attitude
"gimme that Fuckin plate" Autumn said after me
We all then burst out laughing... Except Luc
"Autumn will you be my valentine?" I asked her. We both knew I was joking because both me and Autumn are straight but Autumn is a Tom boy while I have a crush on a girl
"yes?" she said more like a question
"I have a husband yall!" I said to my friends before spotting River looking mad about something.
It can't be about me and Autumn cause she knows me and Autumn are just friends and that Autumn isn't even attracted to girls but then again 90% of the school thinks she's gay cause of the way she acts/dresses.
"damn Mel you really forgot about me?" Alice said pretending to be hurt
"I mean, you took my money the house, our kids and the cars what did you want me to do?" I asked her
"I don't know... I just didn't expect you to move on that fast" she said pretending to wipe her tears
I sat down to eat my food when I saw River talking to Ophelia and they were laughing together you could see that they like each other, you could practically smell it.
Ophelia was a really smart and beautiful girl, she had nice wide hips a small waist and a big bust, the girl had the perfect body the perfect skin and the perfect life and I knew I couldn't compete with her even if I tried but I just couldn't help but compare myself to her.
For one, she had a dad that loved her, Came to fetch her every day from school in their nice car, brought her food and he gives her a hug every morning saying goodbye
While my dad doesn't even know wether or not I'm going to school, how I am, what I eat he doesn't even visit. Yes me and my dad talk I actually like his new wife and my half brother who's 4.My stepmom asks me about my wellbeing and cares for me more than my father, he just wants to drink alcohol everyday... My dad is an Alcoholic, he still works tho
Wakes up in the morning goes to work when he's back from work he drinks and drinks.
Back to Ophelia: She had such nice thighs, the prettiest legs and the biggest ass. Then you look at me I'm an average looking girl, with hip dips average sized boobs and pretty short.
With the way I represent myself, I know there's people who wanna be me but oh god I wanna be Ophelia.
I watched them laugh and look at each other lovingly

"hiiiii Mel" She said sitting on my left, where August wasn't sitting
"Hey lia how are you?" I asked smiling at her. Me and her ended up talking about everything and anything during break.
