"I know, I was saying the same thing" I told Alice biting into my chicken burger
"Girl, did you just pee yourself?" She asked putting her food down
"no, but If I did I'm sorry this pregnancy is taking a toll on me" I said seeing that my grey sweatpants were indeed wet.
"Shit let me go change, I'll be back"
As soon as I was done I came back and me And Alice continued with our chat... For 7 minutes till I felt the need to poop
"Girl I need to take a shit" I told her getting up
"ew don't tell me about it!" Alice said smacking my arm
I went into the toilet and tried shiting but nothing was coming out gosh am I constipated?
"Girl ain't nothing coming out!" I shouted to Alice cause she was outside my door incase of emergency
"girl push cause you gonna give birth in a few days what if you want to poop THEN"
"I know, I'm pushing, but nothing. Infact, I'm starting to feel pain" I told her
"let me come and see, maybe you need to give birth or something" see chuckled jokingly
Alice came in then rubbed my stomach since i told her that I was feeling pain, She looked down between my legs and froze
She slowly put her hand between my legs but I stopped her
"woah Alice, I didn't know you swing that way... Plus you're my best friend" I winked
"No you idiot there's something there, it looks like a babies head" She said seriously and I knew she wasn't joking
"but I can't feel anything, shouldn't I feel pain and conce-those things before I give birth?" I said standing up
"Girl none of us are doctors, I don't know either"
Alice went and took my bag that River had packed for me days earlier and I was greatful for that.
"let's go baby mama, I drive and you call everyone"
We got in her car and that's when the pain started, I could feel the baby moving and It was causing intense cramping
"shit!" I tried calling River but she wasn't answering, I tried over 9 times and it went straight to voicemail
"Hello?" Lara, answered hers on the first ring
"baby I'm giving birth, on my way to the hospital right now" I told her
"they're coming? Our babies are coming?!" Lara exclaimed I heard shuffling in the background and I assumed see was getting up
"tell everyone cause I can't, and since you're neighbours with River's parents please tell them too"
We finally got to the hospital and the pain was getting unbearable, my back felt like it was being twisted and the baby was coming and closer and the pressure was painful.
9 hours later
[Yall I have no idea how pregnancies work or anything like that so I'm not gonna write her giving birth experience]
"No she's not feeling the best right now" I heard the nurse tell someone before a lady who I don't know
"Melanie Rhodes right?" She asked and I nodded in return, I couldn't talk even if I wanted to. My throat felt hoarse and dry form all the screaming
"I'm a social worker and I'm here to take the kids" She said writing something down
"what, why?" I whisperd , my voice hoarse and tired
