Chapter 22

It was finally the gender reavel/baby shower

I  decided to wear a brown dress. Brown was the theme for the party because it was a neutral colour. I hadn't even seen the decor or anything like that because Autumn and August we're the ones planing it and obviously they didn't want me to see till the party.

I was very happy and couldn't wait.

"Do you think it's a boy or girl?" I asked River as I made my smoothie in the kitchen

"definitely a boy, I can feel it" She said taking a bit of her chicken sandwich.

"really?" River stood up and walked up to me before putting her hand on my stomach. She got down on her knees, kissing my stomach and whispering something to our baby.

"what do you tell people when they ask why we live together?" I Suddenly asked River cause I'm sure people ask such questions

"I tell them we both got kicked out for different reasons so we decided to share a place... It's not really a lie tho" She answered, still on the ground kissing my belly.

"what are you gonna wear to the baby shower?" I asked her

"anything brown I find in my closet" She finally got up to finish eating.

"River"

"hm?"

"we're having a baby..."

"Yeah I know, the baby shower is today"

"No! We're having a baby. We still have school to finish. We don't work. You either go to school or work because I won't be able to do either after I give birth. Babies are so expensive" I said stressful,gosh what was I thinking when I kept this baby.

Stress and realisation finally hit:both me and River aren't working we are still in school. We can barely take of ourselves River's parents were sending money for food every month but I don't think they'll want to do it the rest of our life's

I won't be able to continue with school. There's a 50% chance of me even surviving giving birth. I really have ruined my life haven't I?

Will I even be able to date in the future since I'll be having a kid 15 years younger than me. I'll be 20 with a 5 year old kid gosh!

I sighed then went to take a shower.

I felt River put her hand on my shoulder. "Hey, hey Don't worry we got this"

I nodded my head and went to get ready

"Oh my gosh guys it looks great! Beautiful even!" I exclaimed looking At August and Autumn

"yeah-wait were you expecting us to do a, shit job?" Autumn asked. She looked so, pretty in her dress I'd never seen her in a dress before. She was the tomboy type

"You're wearing a, dress?"

"Yep. I thought 'my niece has to see me in a dress atleast once'" She said with a proud smile

"Girl you know damn well, They can't see you. So tell me, who are you tryna impress?"

She just smiled instead of telling me.

"You look good for a 15 year old" I turned around to be met with Camilla

I internely sighed

I looked down at what she was wearing. Her dress was extremely open and a bit inappropriate for a  baby shower.

"interesting choice of...an outfit"i said looking her up and down

"I mean, at least it's brown right" I heard Autumn say behind me

"wait who invited you? You weren't on the invitation list plus you never came forward to sign your name" August said, he definitely wasn't scared to say what was on his mind

"uh.. I know but I thought each of her friends were invited" She said looking a bit embarrassed

"Yeah we are... You aren't" he said pointing at her

Just then Candice walked past us with a random guy and she was looking as pretty as ever

"but she's allowed?!" Camilla asked pointing at Candice

"She's invited, you aren't. Don't compare yourself to her" August Sighed

"If you decide to stay,you won't have a seat cause we have approximately 534 Seats." Autumn told her

Damn that many people showed up? That's like 60% of the school

"so much People came-nevermind I'll stay"

We all have her a puzzled look, you'd expect her to want to go home instead.

I decided to walk around the venue, looking around. Everything was absolutely perfect here! I wonder where August And Autumn got the money for it.

I looked at the time and realised everyone would be here in a few minutes

Everything was going so well, we'd eaten and played all the baby shower games. Now it was time to count the money votes then we'd find out the gender of the baby.

"So...267 of you put 5 dollars for a boy and 267 of you put 10 dollars for a girl" Alice told everyone after she and my group of friends were done counting the money

"And All together the money is... $4005"River said

Everyone cheerd.

"Now it's time to find out the gender" Alice said and everyone went dead silent

"it's..... Twins! A girl and a boy" Alice said and everyone cheered once again

"I guess yall knew what you were doing when you put equal votes" August Laughed

...Well shit.if I was stressing for one childish can't imagine two
