"so when's the date? cause many people want to come" August asked. We were discussing the baby shower arrangements.
"I don't know August... When I'm 4 months pregnant ? Which is in 3 months" I said thinking.
"okay..." August said writing it down.
We were in the library skipping class so we could do this. We could have done it after school but as soon as I get home I sleep for hours so we can't.
As soon as we were done I got up to go to the bathroom.
On my way there I bumped into Camilla
"there goes the whore" she muttered under her breath but I heard it
"what?"
"you heard me. Do you even know who the father is?!" She asked. My friends don't know who the father is cause River's not ready to tell people she's intersex so I tell people that I don't wanna talk about the father.
I sighed "yes Camilla, I know who the father is"
"so how did you explain that to Lara and she still stayed? What do you have that's so special?"
I knew Camilla and Lara had some history between them, but they broke up when Lara found out that Camilla cheated and was pregnant.
"I'm not with Lara. We aren't dating. I'm single" I tried justifying myself. I still wasn't ready to tell people that I'm gay. I still don't accept it myself.
"oh Mel, we all know you're gay" she said putting her hand on my shoulder
"but you're still a whore" she added
"well Lara chose this whore over you so..." I shrugged giving her a smile
"watch out Melanie, that baby of yours might not survive" She said with the smirk
"Camilla what is your problem? Why do you dislike me so much?"
"You asking that question?Melanie you're one of the prettiest girls in the school, every guy is drooling over you! Not just guys but girls too. I tried to get Mark but he said he liked you-"
"-who's mark?" I asked her confused
"see that's the thing about you, you don't care about anyone but yourself! You're the one living the perfect life you forget that there's some of us who aren't as Lucky. You completely forget about us!"
"Camilla are you high? What are you talking about?" I asked because I was really confused
"ugh, 'Melanie the perfect princess' acting all confused and shit. You become pregnant and everyone is proud of you for it! But when I did it people hated me for it, called me disgusting and a whore. You could be a drug addict and people will congratulate you for it" She said agitated
"... Okay Camilla, what does that have to do with me though. Shouldn't you be talking to the people about that not me?" I asked her
"also just because I act perfect at school doesn't mean everything is perfect. If something bad happens at home I don't have to show and tell EVERYONE about it. I like my home situation to stay at home" I finished before giving her a small smile
Since I'd been pregnant. I couldn't find it in my heart to be angry at anyone. No matter what happened I just can't get angry.
But she did have a point, but people don't like me because I'm 'perfect' people just naturally like me. It has nothing to do with what I do or how I do it,they just do.
I have to come to school well dressed and smelling good because just because I slept hungry the night before doesn't mean I should come to school looking like a hobbo and acting sluggish

3 months later
"River my school skirt can't fit anymore" I said sitting on the floor crying my eyes out.
"hey, hey it's okay, you can wear the school dress or even the trousers okay?" River said gently rubbing my back while I cried on her lap
"I don't like trousers tho" I said whipping my tears and taking my small skirt of
"then wear the dress Melanie. It's 6 in morning I'm really tired. Sometimes you can think of these things on your own" River sighed before walking out
"oh..." I guess I bother River too much, she needs to rest too

I sighed getting up and taking out the school dress,before wearing the rest of my uniform.
I decided to buy breakfast on the way to school. Since I was craving a big mac I decided to stop by at McDonald's.
"excuse me, how old are you" An old lady came and asked me
"um.... 15" I answered chewing my food
"and you're pregnant? You know back in the day such things never happened. I swear kids these days don't have discipline"
"facts" I agreed drinking my coke
"they didn't do such" she said moving her hand towards me
"I know right?" I answered finishing of my food
"I really don't know when society went wrong" I said pretending to wipe a tear and going to throw my trash
I finally got to school after a long walk
"baby mama!" Alice shouted when she saw me
"so that's what I am? Just a baby mama to you?" I asked fake crying, but real tears started coming and I actually started crying
"No, Mel never" She said hugging me
"how could you even say that to your pregnant wife?" I heard someone say as they passed us
"I didn't mean it like that!" Alice shouted to them
"so... Are you ready for your baby shower?" August asked
"oh yeah. Saturday right?"
"yep. We finally finding out the gender" August said excitedly
It was all the school could talk about ;whether it's a girl or boy.
And since i was too broke for a baby and couldn't afford shit, I made a voting thing where if you think it's a boy you put 5 dollars and 10 dollars if you think it's a girl in the box.
Before we find out the gender, we count the money THEN we could know the actual gender. And from what I could see everyone was excited..
Everyone exept Camilla and Candice
Mostly Camilla cause Candice voted behind her back.
and the only person who knew the gender is Alice. She has the result.
"I'm hoping it's a girl" I said to August
"Same!" some said behind me, I just turned and smiled.
Damn it's like everyone's listening to our conversation.
It was time to go to class and as I walked I heard a group of girls talking
"I'm hoping it's a girl so we can dress her in pink dresses and everything! I already bought the pink diapers what did you buy?" She asked
"I bought the bibs And binkys. Colour neutral ones tho cause I'm kinda hoping for twins" I almost broke my neck turning to the person who said that
"don't curse me" I told them with a chuckle
They just laughed in return. Throughout the day I'd heard a lot of people say A LOT of things like the group of boys that said
"I know it's a boy, if he his i know he's gonna be handsome! He'll be getting all the ladies"
"I know, I got him some clothes and some toy cars cause he's gonna like cars"
"I bought some baby lotion stuff cause I don't mind either, we gonna be partying with him for sure"
"I hope she let's us hang out with him"
