Taehyung stayed for a while inside his car. It was parked a few blocks away from their rendezvous. He won't do anything wrong. Still, his guilt was eating away inside him. He didn't want to lie. He knew that he could have told the truth. But it seemed better not to let Jungkook know. It won't happen again anyway.

He finally hopped out of his car and walked to the café where Ara asked to meet. He kept his head down, avoiding any eye contact. The place was almost empty. He saw her at the far corner and unceremoniously went to her.

"We have to be quick." He said immediately.

"Won't you sit first?"

Taehyung hastily pulled the chair and sat.

"What would you like to have? I'll buy. As a thank you."

"I can't. I can't stay long."

"You didn't tell your wife? Why?"

"Dad promised to withdraw the case. He already said yes." He diverted.

She smiled. "Thank you so much."

"I'm sorry about his health."

"Maybe it's karmic."

He had no more words. Whatever happened among them in the past, his fathers have buried it too. It's just money. They felt that they need not pursue. After all, Ara's father was already given his poetic justice.

"This is all I can give for now."

Ara slid an envelope across the table.

"I'll pay more next month."

"It's okay. Next time, you can just wire it."

Taehyung almost jumped at the sound of the door opening. His nerves were fired up because of anxiety. He wished he was just being paranoid. It was in vain because it was really Jungkook who came through the door. He walked to them with his head held high.

"W-what are you doing here?"

He looked at Taehyung with a cold, hard stare before turning to Ara.

"Hello." She said hesitantly before bowing her head.

"You know me?"

She nodded. Jungkook roamed his eyes around.

"This is the last time you're going to meet." He commandingly told her, albeit in a quiet voice. "I believe you already got whatever you wanted from him. You don't have to pay him back. Just keep your money."

"I don't want to be indebted to anybody."

"You have a lot of pride for someone who had no remorse to steal –"

"Jungkook."

"And no shame asking the help of the very person she wronged."

"Stop it."

Jungkook glared at him, challenging. He tries to be kind. But he's no softie. Jungkook has the ferociousness of the Jeons. There are many things he firmly stand by. Some of them accountability and justice. It's never wrong to forgive. He'll give the Kims that. He has no say on what they decided. Nonetheless, he thought that what she did was too shameless and he doesn't mind letting it out.

"She doesn't need to pay you back." He spewed sternly. "She needs the money more than you."

With that, he walked away. Taehyung was livid. He can't believe the things Jungkook have said. He almost sounded like the other Jeons. Arrogant and out of touch.

Jungkook was already on his way to his car. Taehyung chased after. He opened the backseat door when he reached it.

"Come out." He told him.
