"Where is she?"

My head shot up as I heard Evan's voice. Our eyes met and he sprinted past the police officer before the man could say a word. I threw myself at Evan and let myself sink into him as he wrapped his arms around me, pulling me into his chest. Then it all came crashing down and I did nothing to stop the tears. Evan held me tighter as my sobs became more violent.

"I'm here now baby, I got you" he whispered into my hair. "I got you" he repeated.

"There was so much blood" my voice was barely there and my throat hurt from all the screaming I had done when I found Savannah's body. "And her eyes...they were just staring at me but she wasn't there. She was gone... she is gone."

"I know."

A female officer came over to Evan and I and let us know they had a few more questions for me and asked if I could come down to the station tomorrow. "Yeah" I managed to say.

"Thank you. Get home safely and get some rest. You have my card if you need anything in the meantime" the female officer says. I nod my head and look at Evan.

"Come on, let's get you home" he says.

My phone was blowing up the entire ride home. It was a bunch of missed calls from Gigi, Victor, Amanda and Mazzey. I know they are only worried but I wasn't up to talking on the phone. I sent a text in the groupchat for the girls to not worry, I was with Evan on the way home and I will talk to them tomorrow. Then, I sent a text to Victor.

I am okay. Evan came and picked me up, heading home. Talk to you tomorrow.

I set my phone down on my nightstand and headed towards the bathroom. These clothes were starting to feel like they were burning my skin if I kept them on any longer. I let the water run for a bit until it reached the temperature I liked which was steaming hot. I stripped my clothes off and stepped into the shower. I let the water hit my skin, burning off all the weight from today.

"Mind if I join?" Evan asks from the other side of the curtain.

"I don't" I answer, giving him a small smile as he pulls back the curtain and steps in. Once he's fully inside the shower I take my arms and wrap them around his neck.

"I know you're shaken up right now after everything that just happened but how come you didn't you tell me about the message?"

"They told me not to tell anyone and I wasn't about to put anyone else's life in danger. Especially you Evan. I barely got you back, I'm not letting anything happen to you." Evan grabbed my hand and squeezed it.

"I can take care of myself baby, but I also cannot let anything happen to you. I don't know what I would have done if that phone call was someone telling me that it was your body they found in that apartment. I-" he didn't finish that sentence. I held his hand tighter.

"You are my whole life, Stella. I know that even with all that time we missed together. Deep down I know, I am certain, that my entire existence is you. I couldn't live this life without you."

I brush my thumb across his cheek as we just stood there staring at one another. "I wouldn't want to live this life without you. I almost had to and  I don't ever want to go through that again. My whole life is you, Evan. Ever since you stepped into it, my life has become you."

"And I don't plan on leaving it."

"Good."

"Listen, I wanted to run something by you first and we can talk more about it tomorrow but I know someone who can help us find out what is going on. He works in Chicago but I'm sure if I call him and ask him to help me out, he will. I don't have a good feeling about this whole situation, it seems so off and I know that he'd be able to help us get some kind of lead."

"Evan" I start.

"Hear me out. I know it's not our job but this man is good at what he does and trust me if anyone can figure out what weird shit is going on, it's him. If you don't want me to reach out to him then say the word but I think we could use his help. I just don't want anything happening to you... we don't know who this person is and how they got your number but I won't be able to sleep at night knowing this person who killed Tyler and Savannah is still out there and possibly watching you. We are completely blind. This person has the upper hand right now."

"Okay okay, fine. Call this said person you know."

"Thank you. His name is Hank, I'll give him a call tomorrow. And you are not staying alone whatsoever until this whole situation is taken care of" Evan pulls my body closer to his. "I cannot lose you."

"You won't" I whisper.

Evan and I just hold each other for a moment longer before he reaches for the body wash and my shower rag. "turn around" he says quietly. I do as he says and close my eyes as he starts to gently wash my back. He does it with one hand while he rests the other on the crook of my neck. My body slowly starts to relax as he continued to do small circles with the rag against my skin. I leaned back into him and he brought the rag around to my front, slowly bringing the rag up my torso. "You are the best thing that has ever happened to me" Evan whispers into my ear. He leans into me and plants a small kiss on my lips. Then his lips made their way down to my jaw, and down my neck. Every kiss lingered on my skin as he took his time kissing his way down to my shoulder. I knew this moment will be one I cherish for the rest of my life. A moment with the person I love the most, exposed and vulnerable as he holds me and cares for me. It's the kind of intimacy I will always crave.

"I love you so much" I whisper into his mouth.

"I love you so much more."

{ Hey loves!! I'm very excited about this upcoming cross over that will happening. I know earlier in the story I had brought in Kelly Severide from Chicago Fire. I have an interesting storyline I'm building up where you will see characters from the Chicago One universe and my other story Forbidden so stay tuned for that :) I decided to keep this chapter a little short and sweet, giving Stella a moment with her man. Also, how  are we feeling about Savannah's death? I know her and Stella definitely had their differences and I have been thinking about what to do with Savannah's character so this was a hard one but yeaaah let me know your thoughts, don't be shy! }
