Scott Blue POV

You know that feeling where you think you need to be alone in the nature? Yeah, I had that feeling on Monday, May 12th. I told Mrs Knife that I had a doctor's appointment. That was such a huge lie, but worth it.

I got to the local playground because all the kids, (except me) were still at school, and will be for the next hour. I get the swing set all to myself before the place gets over populated.

The playground isn't owned by anyone, so nobody can tell me no! I was free like the wind!

Under one of the slides, I could slightly see some sort of object. Is it a bike? It's a bike! A girl bike. Pink, purple, with sparkles all over. It was pretty disgusting, but I couldn't resist.

Of course I took it! I might be a bike theif all of a sudden, but at least I had a reason.

I take it out into the trees, where there was a smooth bike path. I go zipping through the summer air, out of the trees and into the street. I move over to the sidewalk, passing houses after houses, and young kids unsupervised playing in the front lawns. On the other side of the street was this guy, probably an older teenager. He was on his bike too, and directly across the street from me. He lifts his hands off the handle bars, so I do the same thing. The next things he does is grab onto the handles, but ride standing, so I copied that too. He gives me a mean look and then removes his hands and rides standing completely upright.

He looked so weird. I tried to copy that, but what if I fell on the sidewalk? What if I bust my skull in half? The guy across the street laughs and points at me, but I ignored him. I guess it's better to be safe than sorry.

"Hey, kid!" He yells.

My name often turns into kid when I'm in public, so this caught my attention.

"I bet'cha can't do this..." He picks up speed, looks ahead at this car that was driving too quickly, and out of line. He went for it, and bikes up the car. The car slows down a bit, and the guy, he makes it half way before he falls off. Even I stop my bike in shock. I've never seen anyone do something like that before.

An angry looking girl gets out of the driver's seat. She peaks at the guy who fell on the other side of the car. "Seriously, what's wrong with people?" She hisses before she goes back inside and keeps driving.

I instantly got out of the area too.

I ride up and down some streets like a regular human being, not suspicious at all. (Or so I thought) Somehow, someone driving in a car on the street noticed that I look my age. "Aren't you sopposed to be in school?" He asks harshly.

I turn to notice that it was Mr Malute with his window rolled all the way down.

"This is part of the assignment. We're finding out who is fastest timed biker is." I lied hastily, but it was my only safe option.

"Is that your bike now?"

I look down at the glittery bike. "Of course not! I borrowed it."

Unlike a few people I know, Mr Malute didn't accuse me of being a bike theif, instead he smiled tightly. "Who gave it to you?"

"Oh, just some guy."

Mr Malute smiled for a brief second. "You know, Scott, a lot of people will believe that little fib, but I'm not falling for any falsehood."

"What do you mean?"

"That bike isn't from some guy, it's my neice's. My five year old niece's, so I'll take that from you." He exites the car, but I protest, "I found it! Finders keepers!"
