Leo Blue POV

Whenever I end a phone call with my Mother, I end up saying "love you, bye!" So today, I said that to Kopelyn......

No, readers! Don't even think about it!

Anyway, as you probably already noticed, I was not on the phone with my friend Jacob Sugarberry, because he was my cover up for my serious conversations with Kopelyn.

It turns out that Sugar Plum wants Kopelyn and I to follow her as she takes us on a journey to explore our dreams.

I had this burning sensation building up in my stomach to hear Kopelyn's voice mixed with horror and indecision. That was all it took for me to know just how risky this decision could be.

"Hey, um, Mother!" I yell across the hall.

Time for me to make up something.

What could possibly go wrong?

The blood was already rushing. "So, you know Jacob Sugarberry is going on vacation to...... the Netherlands, right?"

Mom puts her book down on her lap. "Sure?"

"Yes, so the Sugarberry family has an extra plane ticket, so that means I can go too!" I explain hopefully, although I know that Mom doesn't let anything slide. I thought that it was worth a shot anyway, even though I am lying.

"Okay, okay, when does this happen?" Mom asks suspiciously.

"Oh, you know, today." I respond casually.

"Leo, seriously, you are most certainly not going anywhere today."

"But it's fun! I'll bring you back a tee shirt!" I say enthusiastically.

Grandpa slowly crept into the room, "What?" He asked slowly.

"Hey, Mom," I say as I plan a way to attempt distracting her so I can run away. "There's a... person out the window. He's holding a hammer. You better stop him before he cuts down the....  fence.

"Hey, I have eyes on the back of my head." Mom sassed as she opens up her book once again.

"Sararose! Oh Sararose!" Dad's echoey voice sang from upstairs. Mom snaps the book closed and looks to the ceiling in annoyance, "Sean, can't you do it by yourself?"

"I broke the doorknob!" He shouted. Mom rolls her eyes and heads upstairs. Not unexpected, that's what she does. I took this lucky chance to bolt out the door.

I ran like a track star, my feet not even stopping once the rest. Even when I fell over and skinned my knee, I rolled right back up.

Okay, bike shop.....bike shop....bike... I kept thinking to myself. That old place can't be too far. Can it?

I have to remember my way there, if I think about. Right?

I sit down by a tree and think about re tracing my steps, instead, I ended up picking petals off a flower while singing to myself, then I watched three squirrels chase eachother up a tree. Oh the beauty of life. It always keeps you guessing.

"Hey, idiot." Snaps a voice. I look up to see Sugar Plum sitting on top of the tree.

I was so startled that I actually jumped. "How long were you watching me?"

"Long enough to get tired of your dreary singing." She scoffed.

"Great! Now, where is that bike shop? I need Kopelyn." I stand up and start to follow Sugar Plum as she walks down the sidewalk. "Okay, I would tell you where she is, but there's no point is there? You'll get distracted again, and you'll start daydreaming about nothing." She says confidently.
