Henry Blue POV

"You have to keep it a secret!" I was begging Granny Tina that evening. "You just can't tell my parents! If they find out, they'll kill me!"

"Okay." Granny Tina sighs as she pulls the croissants out of the oven, "You did go and use school property without permission, and you did swear while you were at it."

"Is swearing really that terrible!?" I ask with my hands wiggling in the air.

"Yes! Especially since there are five year olds at that school!"

"Listen, Henry, you need to get your facts straight." Grumbles Grandpa Easten as he closes the book he's reading, "You always get so angry when Roy keeps things from you, so why do you suddenly want to keep a secret from your own parents?"

"Because Roy keeps dumb secrets, my secret is a really important one that has to be kept quiet!"

"Yeah, and why are you even telling us, if this is such a secret?" Questions Granny Tina.

"I'm expelled, so I'm not allowed to go to school. So, during school hours, can I stay here in your house? My parents could be dumb sometimes and not notice!"

Granny Tina sits next to me and sighs deeply, "Honey, no. As much as I love to not tell my own daughter things, you're going to have to think of a new plan."

It turns out, my parents were informed right away. Principal Raines didn't even waste a breath when she went all the way to Middle School to tell that Principal what I did. That Principal told my Mom on the phone during dinner, and she absolutely freaked.

Marcela will be Marcela. She doesn't get angry too often, but when she does, her voice gets really loud, and screechy, like an elderly person.

"ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS EXPLAIN IT TO THE PRINCIPAL! WHY WOULD YOU LOCK HER OUT OF HER OFFICE?! WHY WOULD YOU SAY THOSE THINGS TO THE WHOLE F*CKING SCHOOL?!"

I was on the couch, trying to reason with her the best I could. "I had to do it! It was for the good! Also, it wasn't the whole school, it was only some teachers, Principal Raines, and some kids who stay after school to randomly throw basketballs."

"WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!"

"About Scott Blue, and how he's homeless, and possibly dead! I yell back at her. "People don't know, and they don't care! I want to find him!"

"Oh, you don't have to worry about that! Leave it to Lesley, she's in contact with the police, and does everything by herself anyway!"

"No! Lesley's one person! She can't do it by herself!" I yell as I follow her into the laundry room.

"Henry, you just threw your education away!"

"Well, how do you think Lesley feels about Scott?! He lost his education too!"

"Don't blame him! You did this to yourself!" She yells before running upstairs.

It was only us at the house. Royal is at Allie's swimming race, and I'm sure that Roy was there also.

During break, my parents were terribly angry at me for being expelled, and it was obvious. Roy was oblivious to this, and has no idea that I was expelled. I want to keep it that way.

"Listen, Roy," I tell my brother as I take a bite from my French toast, "One of the kids in Frosty The Snowman smokes! One if them is addicted to smoking!"

"Really? Which one?"

"I don't know, but somebody is! Why else would they be able to actually give Frosty a pipe?"
