Scott Blue POV

I was extremely tired at this point, but the solid concrete ground made it hard to sleep. A regular man walked by, and I could hear his footsteps stop when he got near me. I opened my eyes just a tiny bit, and he seemed to be suspiciously staring down at me. I thought I was better off keeping my eyes closed and pretending to stay asleep. He began to walk away but very slowly.

I guess I'm better off staying alert all night just to be safe.

It began raining at some point during the night. It began sprinkling, and quickly turned into a whole down pour. It was the only thing that I can actually hear, untill it began thundering.

I could've ran off to somebody's house to beg and beg to go inside just to sleep that night, but I have learned from Anthony himself that people can't be trusted. If I had money, it would get stolen, and since I have no money, nobody's going to help me!

It was morning now. I hear the geese in the pink sky. I look at my watch to see the time, only to remember that it was broken.

I didn't exactly see my legs after I fell on the sidewalk last night, but I knew how damaged they must've been.

Ohhh crap. Now I can see the blood on the concrete that only could've came from me. Both my knees had this deeply brownish red dry blood that must've been dripping from both my knees for hours into the night where I slept under a bench outside like the homeless man that I became. There was blood on my white socks and even on my sneakers.

Before the mall got crowded, as malls get, I got to the back of the outdoor section where it wasn't as full of people. There was a space between two buildings where it was dark and empty.

It was misty and cold outside, so I took the carpet with me to hide between the two buildings to stay warm the best I could.

There isn't a ceiling here, so I can't get away from the rain, which apparently started again. I stayed there between two buildings in the rain wearing my old clothes, and a dirty carpet for the next few hours.

I am pretty sure my my knees healed from bleeding, but are purple in color from how badly they were injured. They hurt when I flex them, so I kept sitting in a ball.

I watched people walking down the parking lot into the the different stores, not noticing me hiding in the dark. That was untill this regular Mom decided to make a short cut to the back by going through those buildings that I hid between. She looks down that whole space, not noticing me, then looks behind her and shouts, "Girls! Let's go!" So her two daughters follow her through the short cut, the younger one was probably my age, the older one looked like a young teenager. So the younger one stops and notices me. "Mom!" She ran up to her quickly. As far as I knew she wanted to report me to the police. She then whispers something and I can only hear the words Homeless and Money

The Mom looks from her, to me, then back at her and says, "We are not going to give our life savings to a homeless kid. He's probably lying about it. Now let's go before it starts thundering!"

The girl started crying, for some reason. Her life isn't nearly as miserable as mine. All three of them got through the two buildings quickly, leaving me by myself.

As it was getting dark, a regular woman with long dark bouncy hair and a few wrinkles around her eyes came up to me after just staring at me for five whole minutes.

"Hey?" She says gently, "Are you lost?" Now she's looking straight at me, holding my face, which wasn't the best choice since I probably smell like wet grass, and that scent will likely stay on her for a while.

"Do you know where your parents are?" She asks.

I didn't answer that either, but at least she pulls an eggo waffle from her pocket. "Here's a muffin." She says while giving me the waffle.
