Strip Weathers.

He was the newest sensation to hit the market in NASCAR. He was a 20 year old, 6'1 rookie, who was a force to be reckoned with.

His season was about to get started and he was ready. NASCAR and driving was his love, and it was pretty much all he did.

He loved it.

He sat in a chair with his crew as he wrote a bunch of notes in his notebook. As he did he heard someone walking over to him. He glanced up above the top of his sunglasses and saw Chick.

"Hey punk." Chick said as he sat in a chair next to him.

"Hey loser." Strip said. His southern accent heavy with every word.

"You ready?" Chick asked him. This was both their rookie season, and they got to start together. Considering they were in karting together, they was dream come true for both of them.

Strip put his notebook down and looked over the track. A small smirk appeared on his face as he looked at Chick. "Hell yeah I am."

Chick chuckled and fist bumped him. "Yeah we are."

Strip stood up and stretch a bit. "Well. I'm going to head back to the hotel. See y'all tomorrow." He waved tiredly and headed out.

He searched his pockets for his keys as he stepped onto the sidewalk. He found them as he saw a girl. She was looking at the map of the stadium.

She was rubbing her neck nervously. He raised a brow as he watched her. She turned and saw him. "Ah! Excuse me!" She rushed over to him.

He put his hands in his pocket as he looked at her. "How may I help ya?"

She smiled. "I uh.... I need some help. My car ran out of gas and I don't know where there's a gas station." He looked at this very short woman.

She had shoulder length dreads, dark beautiful skin and dark blue eyes.

"Sir?" She said confused.

"Ah sorry. You need gas? I uh, can take you to the station."

This girls eyes lit up. "Really! Oh thank you, thank you!" He just chuckled a bit.

"No problem. Come on." He said as he walked down the stairs to the his car. He unlocked his bosses car.

She went to open her door. But he beat her there and opened it for her. It was a big car, it was a Cadillac. She looked surprised when he extended a hand to her.

"You good ma'am?" He asked.

"Oh... yeah! Thank you." She hesitantly held his hand and hopped up into the Cadillac. He closed her door and walked around.

He opened his door, but took his ID off and tossed it onto the dash before getting into the car. She held the ID as he pulled a jacket on.

"Strip Weathers." She Said as she saw Dinoco underneath his name.

He looked at her as he got into his car. "Yea?"

"You're a race car driver?! That's so cool." She said with a bright smile. It could blind you. He chuckled. He was intrigued.

"Yeah. Tomorrow's my first race." He buckled and started to drive.

"Ooo! I'm gonna be at the race tomorrow. My boyfriend is a reporter for the races." She said as she looked through her purse for something.

"Oh cool. Who is he rooting for tomorr-" as he parked into the gas stall. He saw 10 dollars shoved into his face.

"Here! For the gas."

He held the ten dollars. "Alrighty." He opened the door and jumped out. He wasn't going to use her money. He put his own cash and pumped gas into the portable tank he had.

Sooner than later, he put the gas tank into his trunk, and jumped back in.

"Here." He said as she saw the 10 dollars. She looked at it confused as she held it.

"Did the machine not want it?"

"Nah someone else left some money in there."he said as he hid the receipt.

"Oh wow, how perfect was that." She said curiously as he drove back to the stadium. It was strangely silent in the car. This girl was strangely fidgety in the car.

Suddenly she looked at him. "You should tell me a joke."

Strip raised a brow as he turned on his signal. He chuckled and shook his head. "Nah... I don't know many good ones."

She frowned but in a funny way. "Oh fine." She said as a small smile creeped on her face.

"Alright, show me where your car is."

Eventually they found her car. He parked and got out with her.

He was fueling her car when a small smile crept on his face. "You know why I don't trust gasoline?" He looked at her as she leaned against her car.

"Oh! No? Why!?" She said curiously.

"Because it's combustible."

It was silent for a few moments before she laughed. "That joke is SO bad!" She was laughing so hard she was holding her chest while tears pricked her eyes.

"Then... why are you laughing?" strip asked.

She finished her little laughing fit and then looked at him with yet another one of those bright smiles. "Your sense of humor is so weird." She said teasingly.

Strip felt his face warm up. This girl... she's so strange to him. He turned his face so she wouldn't see him be embarrassed.

"Well... ma'am, your car is all fueled." He said with a soft smile as he closed the tank.

"Lynda."

"Sorry?"

"My name is Lynda." She said with a smile.

That damn smile.

He nodded. "It was nice meeting you, Lynda." He said as he backed up as he kept his eyes on her.

She winked and got into her car. He closed his eyes and sighed. "Pretty gal." He said as he walked back over to his car.

He saw Tex (his boss) leaned up against the hood. "And where did you run off to son?"

"Ah just helping someone."
