He let her phone go to voicemail one more time before giving up. He liked to think that she was out at some frat party, celebrating with the rest of Berkeley that her Golden Bears had just won their season opener in Knoxville.
A quick glance at Facebook didn't give him any reason to think otherwise, and he had to smile at her status message—

He wondered if that was a passive reference to him wearing her initials on his wrists. He also wondered why she wasn't answering the phone...and whether or not she was with Barton Black again.
He hated being jealous of someone he'd never met.
