Trailing into the bar with her already drunk twin brother, Kara shoved Klaus down into a chair while sending a smile to the girl that she had grown closer to over the years. Raven chuckled at Klaus as he eyed a particular girl sitting at the bar, making a few comments under his breath about how beautiful she was.

"Hello, Raven. Why are you sitting by yourself? Where is our big-brained freak at?" Kara questioned, holding up a hand at the bartender who had known her for years, asking for a drink.

She scolded Klaus for staring at the girl before glancing back at her friend, quirking a questionable eyebrow.

Charles had invited the twins for a few drinks since they'd been too busy over the past couple of days with work and college. After a busy day at college, she would've been an idiot to refuse and miss out on witnessing a drunk Klaus.

Somehow, when she arrived at the lab that they shared with Charles, he had already had multiple drinks, claiming to be celebrating his research on the samples of his blood.

Raven simply pointed to a spot behind her with an irritated look on her face. When Kara turned, she found Charles flirting with a blonde woman who seemed over his charm.

She rolled her eyes at the way her best friend began talking about Mutation and she turned back around, receiving her glass of whiskey which she took in her hand and began sipping on.

"He seriously needs tips on flirting with women." She remarked, making Raven smirk before she grabbed her bag and stood up, walking over to the couple with a look of jealousy sprawled across her face.

Watching the scene unfold, Charles paid for their drinks before walking out of the bar with Raven by his side, frustration clear across his face.

Kara grumbled before downing the rest of her whiskey, grabbing ahold of her brother from the bar, and interrupting his talk with the girl he was staring at when they walked in. "Time to go, drunkard." She huffed, shoving him out of the door before they caught up with Charles and Raven.

"Mutant and proud." Raven seemed to copy the woman at the bar as Charles rolled his eyes. She rambled on before Charles stopped in front of her and sighed.

"Look, I don't mean to sound like an old fart." He began.

"Which you are." Raven cut him off.

"Sometimes. But we've talked about this, Raven. A small slip-up is one thing. A big one does not bear thinking about." Charles stated, staring at her before he looked back at Kara and Klaus who seemed to be having the time of their lives making fun of the man.

"Ah, Kara, Klaus, I didn't know you arrived. I apologize for rushing out of there without a drink with you two, but you get it. And please, don't start with the jokes." He forced a smile before turning and walking off without Raven.

Klaus held in a laugh as Kara punched him in the side, hiding a smirk herself at the way he knew the words that would have come out of their mouths if he had not said anything.

"You really pissed him off, Rave. I bet he was hoping to get laid tonight if you hadn't of stopped him." Klaus teased their friend, being held up by his sister before he doubled over into a bush and emptied the contents in his stomach.

Later that night, after settling Klaus into his bed and helping him clean up, Kara grabbed the whiskey bottle from the kitchen and poured a glass, going over the information she had found earlier that day.

She was left in a state of confusion after reading different, more unique books about her Mutation and the files she had stolen about her ancestors earlier that day.
