Kara paced anxiously in circles, fending off a panic attack as all the information she'd learned throughout the day haunted the back of her mind.

It felt like a black hole had formed in her chest and began taking away her ability to breathe. She chewed impatiently on her gums before stopping in her tracks, turning toward her door when a knock rumbled on the wood.

She waited, debating whether to invite the person in on her pre-panic state. Clenching her fists, she allowed the person in with her voice.

Kara felt relief when she set her eyes on Erik who quickly closed the door behind him. He turned to her, not catching Kara's state as he stood and raked his eyes down her frame.

She took notice that he looked refreshed from a shower, now wearing a black turtleneck and beige pants. Her chest tightened further at the sight, her stomach fluttering when his eyes met hers.

"I was looking for you earlier. Where did you go, love?" He questioned, running a hand through his hair.

"I needed to talk to my grandfather and find out some answers regarding my mother." She lied, busying herself by taking her jewelry off in hopes of stopping her eyes from lingering.

She did not need to be thinking those thoughts when she had just learned terrible things about herself and her family.

Erik stood there, watching with lidded eyes as she moved, taking in a deep breath to hide the growing feelings in his gut. With the dull light hitting against her skin, making it look tan, and the way her lips formed a small pout when she concentrated on anything but him, made it hard to focus.

Kara could feel his stare lingering on her and that's what made it harder to not give in and turn to enjoy it.

She pulled her boots off, leaving her in a pair of black socks wrapped around her feet. Her fingers found her braids next, undoing them as they stood in silence.

"Kara," He spoke, his voice low.

"Hmm?" She turned, watching as he took the remaining steps toward her before he leaned down and connected their lips. It was much different from their previous times, much more hungry and passionate.

She recovered from her short state of shock and gave in, leaning on her toes to wrap her arms around his neck. His hands found her sides, squeezing them before holding onto her hips.

The air around them quickly became heated and Kara felt tingly as his lips trailed down to her neck, devouring her skin like a worshipper. Her breath came out husky as she leaned against him for support, her vision blinded for a moment.

She craned her neck for more access and hummed when he left more kisses along her skin, her eyes closing out of pleasure when his hands snuck under her black long sleeve, his soft fingertips smoothing over her skin.

She guided him back to her lips, suddenly wanting more than the two had thought of. She'd be lying if she hadn't thought about him naked, who wouldn't?

She hungrily kissed him like she had been starving, not missing the small smile that formed on his lips when a small noise erupted from the back of her throat when his thumb snuck under her bra.

She retaliated, pushing her freezing cold hands up his abdomen and making him shiver. She worked hastily to pull his shirt off, successfully doing so when the two parted for him to stand shirtless in front of her.

She smirked, raking her eyes over his muscular abdomen before he rolled his eyes and pulled her back into him, not minding her cold hands any further.

His hands held her face, keeping her still as he continued to devour the taste of her lips. Her chest heaved from the lack of air, which he noticed, and quickly peppered kisses along her jaw.
