Kara was occupied in her room with a map and a few papers scattered across her desk. A pen lay limply in her hand while her eyes were focused on the lines she had drawn on the paper map. She knew she would have to leave her room in the next few minutes due to them going back to the facility but she wasn't yet ready to cut off her concentration. She thought back to what her mother said a few hours previously in her dream and after she had regained her composure from waking up, she instantly got to work.
She didn't want to think about what had happened the night before, or what she would have to face when she exited her room but it was inevitable and she wasn't about to shy away for the first time in her life.
A knock on her door brought her out of her thoughts and as she waited a few seconds, she pondered whether to tell whoever was on the other side of the door to come in or not. She sat there and stared at the wooden door until the culprit opened the door anyway and made their way in without a care.
"I could've sworn I was supposed to say you could come in." She muttered sarcastically, her eyes catching Raven's once the woman had closed the door behind her.
"What do you think about Hank?" She rushed out, smoothing down her dress and fixing her blonde curls over her shoulders. Her cheeks were flushed red and her neck was splotchy with small red dots.
Kara turned back to her desk and sighed, knowing she wouldn't be getting anywhere further on whatever she could find out. She looked back at Raven as she stood up, her own hands situating on her hips.
"I don't really know the guy, Rave. He's... unique, as you are with your Mutation. He's smart. Why?" Kara shrugged, noticing Raven fiddling with her fingers out of nervousness.
It wasn't anything new to Kara, seeing as throughout their time spent together, Raven would come to Kara with questions about guys and her opinions. General womanly questions overall.
Raven looked down at the floor as a brighter blush lined her cheeks and a wide grin occupied her lips. "I don't know, I just think he's nice... and cute. I know you two haven't really talked or gotten to know each other but I still wanted your opinion."
Before Kara could reply, another person made themself welcome and entered her room without her permission. She rolled her eyes upon seeing her brother shut the door behind him, his lips lifting into a smirk upon seeing Raven while Kara just stood there, looking disappointed in him for the lack of knocking.
"Oh, hello Rave. What are you doing in here?" He questioned Raven, his hair a mess on top of his head. His eyes traced back and forth between his friend and his sister, not at all apologetic for interrupting them.
"What are you doing in here?" Kara asked before Raven could answer him.
He disregarded her as his eyes found the piles of papers on her desk and he moved to the side to walk around her. She held a hand out and pushed him back against his chest, her eyebrow lifting, persistently.
"Why are you here? I thought we were all getting ready to leave." She huffed, glancing back at Raven.
"It doesn't look like you were doing that. Geez, Kara, did you sleep at all last night?" Klaus questioned, gesturing to the papers scattered atop her desk.
"No, we went out drinking with Erik after we left the facility." Another voice interrupted her from replying. Charles made his way inside her room and she let out an exasperated sigh as her head tilted back.
"Ohhhh, Erik, huh?" Klaus turned back to her after looking at Charles and he smirked, his eyes teasing.
Kara groaned, her hand flying to her face. "Is this some sort of family meeting? If so, can we all please leave my room and go to the library?"
