Chapter 28

      Alora thought about what she had witnessed in the school hall. Alora wondered how often Liam gets that angry. Alora knew that she also had her own issues that needed be taken care of. Alora wondered if it bothered Liam that she is the only one to see and talk to her guardian angel. Alora saw Nyx sitting in the school hall, alone, and decided to join her.

      Brian got a call from his dad, explaining how they will be having dinner with indigo and Alora. Brian wondered if he should even go, for he wanted to stay with Nyx.

      Brian found Alora with Nyx and decided to talk with them. Brian told Alora about their parents having dinner, but that he wanted to stay with Nyx. Alora decided to tell her mom that they already made plans. Alora went to call her mother, but stopped herself, for she noticed Jasper staring at her. Alora decided to have a talk with him.

      In the locker room, Liam was getting ready for basketball practice. Liam wondered if he would ever understand Alora, and all she is going through. Liam started to think about the fact that Alora never saw Liam's bad side. Liam wondered if their relationship would work, for he felt they were far different from one another. Liam went out on the court for practice. On the court, Liam noticed Jasper with his pack. Liam decided to take some practice shot. Jasper hollered "Hey Darko, we want to talk to you!" Liam ignored Jasper and kept practicing for the game. Jasper walked up to Liam and said "Hey, I'm talking to you, prick!" Liam looked at Jasper and said "Believe it or not, I don't give a shit." Jasper laughed, then said "Well, believe it or not, I have an offer you are really going to enjoy." Liam kept practicing, but Jasper was determined to talk to Liam. Jasper went on to offer Liam, "I'll leave that cousin of yours alone, if you help me out with a task." Liam still ignored Jasper, so he continued, "I know Emma Amelia has been giving your girlfriend trouble. It would be a shame if something happened to Emma." Liam stopped, then turned to Jasper saying "What happens in my life, is my business." Liam walked off the court to go look for Alora.

      Alora was outside, waiting for her guardian angel. When he finally appeared, Alora asked "Dad, do you know my future by chance?" Logan answered, "I do not know details, but I know a little." Alora asked about Liam, but to her surprise, her dad said "I don't know anything on that. You and Liam's relationship is in your hands." Alora wondered what her dad meant by that. Alora thanked him, then she went back into the school. As she was going in, Liam grabbed her, asking, "Alora, are you ok?" Alora was taken by surprise, then asked, "Liam, what's wrong?" Liam explained his conversation with Jasper. Alora wondered what Jasper had planned for Emma. "We need to keep an eye out for Emma." Alora claimed, but Liam exclaimed, "Hell no. Not after all she did to you!" Alora understood where Liam was coming from, but she also knew Emma could help them.

      Jasper knew that Emma wanted him dead, he also knew what she had planned. Jasper needed to get Liam to help him.
