Album Listening Party

Taylor's Pov:

I had made plans to Host an Album Listening Party for my new Album that would be released in about six weeks. Normally in the past I would Host a Secret Sessions and invite Fans over to my House to listen to a new Album before it came out. When Covid hit, it got harder to even have Secret Sessions anymore. So with this Album Listening Party, I just decided to invite mine and Travis's Close Friends and Family so they could listen to new Music.

I would think up a way for the Fans to get a Private listening to maybe a online Secret Sessions would be good? I had been discussing things with Tree and she said I could still meet Fans in person online while doing that. I wasn't too sure about it I mean I miss the old way we used to do Secret Sessions but I have to keep everyone safe for the time being until we can have In Person Fan Secret Sessions again so it's all still a planning process that me and Tree have to figure out.

I decided to host the Album Listening Party at Travis's House because it had more room to fit our Family and close Friends. Despite Joe's threats online I'm going ahead with the Album Release. I had worked so hard on it for two years it would be a waste of Talent and hard Work I spent on writing new Material for the Album if I couldn't release it. Travis told me to not worry about Joe and to just ignore him that he's just still upset and angry about the Breakup.

I joined Mom and Selena in the Kitchen and helped them get Food ready for tonight's Album release Party. We had been working on Food ever since Yesterday and had done most of it Yesterday. I got the Cake out of the Oven that I had made for the Album Listening Party I had decided on a Strawberry Homemade CheeseCake and had made two of them in case one Cake wasn't enough. I had made Brownies and Cookies earlier.

We had decided on Finger Foods and we had them Catered and brought to us from a local Deli . Chicken Tenders, Boneless Wings, Mini Pizzas (which I of course made the Mini Pizzas, Pigs and Blankets in a Croissant, (Selena made those), Ham & Cheese and pizza Homemade Hot Pockets those were made by Mom since she knows how to make them. Chicken Salad Sandwiches in Croissants were made by Blake Lively.

By Six that Evening Guests had started to arrive to the Album listening Party. We had everyone go to the main Living Room where they would be hearing the new Album I hoped the Guests really liked it it was something I worked on and had been keeping Secret after I had finished Midnights. There was excited Chatter I could hear our Friends and Family and I noticed that Selena had found some Fans that lived close by and had invited them to the Album Listening Party which I didn't mind.

I waited til everyone got situated in the Living Room before I went in there and greeted everyone. "Hello! I am so glad everyone of you could make it to the Album Listening Party! My name is Taylor Swift and I'll be your Host this Evening! First we are going to listen to the First half of my new Album called The Tortured Poets Department, then we are going to take a Break where everybody can go get some Food and use the Bathroom. Then we can resume listening to the new Album and your allowed to ask questions. Then after that we will have a Meet and Greet Session where everyone can meet me".

Even though Taylor knew most of the People in the room were they're Friends and Family, she did see some new Faces and saw some Fans were invited to attend that lived close to Travis. She assumed the new faces were some of Travis's Friends. She still didn't know all of them yet. Everyone nodded at what she said and they agreed with her that it all sounded good. She then grabbed a CD player Boombox and her newest Album and begin to play it introducing the first Five Songs on the Album.

Once the Album started to play everyone stopped what they were doing and started listening. They listened thinking to themselves that this Album sounded like a continuation of Evermore and Midnights. They kept listening to the Songs completely entranced by them even Dancing to the Songs. Taylor surprised them all by Dancing alongside with her Guests even twirling some Fans in a Dance move and laughing excitedly.

She don't know why she had been so nervous before the Guests came she guessed she was afraid the Fans wouldn't like the Album or the fact that she was experimenting with different sounds again but her Guests they're Friends, Family and the Fans that were invited absolutely loved the new Album so far. They had such fun dancing to the new Album. Soon it was time for them to take a Break and have some Food and Bathroom breaks.

Authors Note: No I haven't been to an Album listening Party and I haven't been to a Secret Session I'm just Writeing about what I've read online and heard about on YouTube.
