I just turned 17 and my family and i wanted to visit my grandmother. She's the only grandparent i still have ,but i haven't seen her since she moved to new york, (because she wanted a bit of a change in her live) .
'We are landing in 10 minutes ,please put your seatbells on'.
I wasn't really listening to the flight assistant , because i was listening to my favourite band 'One Direction'. As soon as they told us to put our seatbells on, as soon we where on the earth again, after 6 hours of exhausting flying.
It was 3 pm and the only thing i could think about was, to lay down in my bed and sleep for the rest of the day. We were really lucky, because we got our luggage quickly back. when we came into the 'welcome home hall'(as i like to call it), we first saw the massive sign saying 'welcome to new york' that my lovely grandmother did. we took our stuff and rushed to her. the first thing i did, of course, was to give her an huge hug.
"I've missed you granny"
i said trying not to cry.
"I've missed you too my little sunshine".
I haven't seen her in 3 years now. I took her hand and we walked to her car. Since she has an really small car we just hardly fit in with our luggage. But again we can say we were lucky, because it was only my father, my mother and me who needed to get into it. after a good 15 minutes ride we finally arrived at her flat. it was a really small one but she is an master in decoration so it really looked good. I was so jetlaged that i fell asleep on the couch and didn't even eat something. in the next morning, we sat together and had a really nice breakfast. After that I asked if i could go outside to have a look into this huge city. My mother said no, so i had to go with my granny, not that it bothers me, i love going out with her. We started with the central park zoo. We've always went to the zoo back when she lived in england and when i was younger. After that we went to the time square. I started to get tired again so we just walked around for a bit when she said she needs to do some grocery so she said
"I think you also want some time alone so i'll go an do the grocery and you can do whatever you want, but i want you to be back here in an hour, you think you can do that?"
I just shook my head and she left
"what could i do"
I said to myself looking around. I started walking for bit. After a while i took out my phone and saw that niall horan tweeted something. i opened twitter and read
new york ,can't wait to see you guys there tomorrow.
I had to smile for a short time. One direction is going to come to new york tomorrow. what if i see them or even meet them...
