Soobin was out taking a stroll around a nearby park of his college as he listened to music. His full intention was to clear his head from the events that took place between him and Taehyung yesterday. And Soobin decided to do just that by taking a stroll, since he had always found that it had calmed him down, as well as feeling the breeze outside and breathing in the fresh air.
Soobin walked mindlessly around the park feeling glad that he completely unbothered. Well, that was until he felt a tap on his shoulder. Soobin stopped in his tracks and paused his music, proceeding to turn behind him to face the person who mysteriously tapped his shoulder.
When he turned, he was met with a brunette haired male. They we're almost the same height, but the other seemed to be taller. He was wearing a white over-sized t-shirt, cargo pants, topped off with a hat and a big black jacket. The male also had a charm to his look.
"Hi! My name is Seomcho, and you are?" The not-so-random guy, Seomcho, introduced himself as soon as Soobin looked at him, an unsettling smile plastered onto his face.
Soobin felt utterly confused and disturbed and took off his earphones, not wanting to make a rude image of himself, he decided to respond, "Hello? My name is Soobin. Is there any reason why you tapped my shoulder?"
"Ah, right," Seomcho said, awkwardly chuckling out of embarrassment,"I was coincidentally just out on a walk then I just saw you walking..I find you really cute, and I wanted to exchange numbers with you..!"
"Oh, really?" Soobin asked, completely taken aback from the others' boldness, "I feel flattered, but I'll have to turn you down on that, I'm sorry. No harsh feelings."
Soobins response was met with silence, Seomcho just looking at him with his disappointed look on his face. The atmosphere was definitely awkward.
Soobin felt bad for the other male, despite how creepy he sounded to him, so he tried to lighten up the mood, "I'm sure you'll find another person in no time! I mean, you're not so bad looking after all."
"But why? You said that I'm not bad looking, yet you don't wanna exchange numbers?" Seomcho asked, a hint of desperation in his voice.
"I'm not comfortable. Please excuse me," Soobin replied, feeling a strange feeling in his gut, and tried to walk past the other.
"You're not going until you give me a proper reason," Seomcho demanded and harshly grabbed Soobins wrist to stop him from leaving.
Soobin got caught off guard when he suddenly grabbed his wrist. He attempted to get out of his grip, but sadly Seomchos hold on his wrist was far too firm and strong for him to escape.
"Hey! Let me go! I just said I'm not comfortable, neither am I interested!" Soobin begged as he was still trying to get away, knowing that he most likely can't.
"Do you already have a boyfriend?" Seomcho ignored Soobins pleads, only looking at him with an annoyed expression on his face, "He doesn't have to know, I can treat you better, Soobin-ah."
"Yes, he does." Somebody suddenly said out of the blue, startling both Soobin and Seomcho.
Soobin then felt another hand grab his other wrist, and he looked towards the direction of the other person.
"Yeonjun!?" Soobin whisper-shouted, looking at Yeonjun with a shocked expression, feeling his heart beat fasten.
"Excuse me, who the fuck are you?" Seomcho asked, eyes furrowed, tightening his grip on Soobins wrist, pulling the male slightly closer to himself.
"I'm the boyfriend, asshat." Yeonjun replied coldly, glaring at Seomcho, "Have you heard of morals as well? He obviously isn't comfortable and he's taken by me, so why're you still trying?"
"You've gotta be kidding me?" Seomcho laughed mockingly and stuck out his finger at Yeonjuns face, "You? His boyfriend? No way."
"Do you have a problem with that?" Yeonjun asked, feeling irritated, his tongue poking the inside of his cheek.
"You don't deserve to be his boyfriend, if I was him, I would've already left you." Seomcho smugly replied.
"Say that again?" Yeonjun asked, but before Seomcho could do so, he kicked him right in the stomach, making him fall to the ground.
As Seomcho fell, his grip on Soobins grip significantly loosened. Before Soobin himself could pull his wrist away, Yeonjun took the opportunity to grab Soobin wrist away from Seomcho. Soobins mouth drew agape, eyes widened, feeling utterly bewildered.
Seomcho groaned in pain as he had hit the ground because he fell head first. He looked up at Yeonjun with an angered expression and he was about to open his mouth to say something. But Yeonjun stopped him before he could do so by kicking him directly in his mouth. Seomcho, again, groaned in pain and held his mouth, his eyes widening as he saw blood drawing out of it, seeing two of his teeth out of his mouth, one on the pavement, the other in his very hands.
Soobin quietly gasped and immediately tried to come to Seomchos aid, but Yeonjun pulled him back by his wrist from doing so.
"You should leave." Yeonjun instructed, and Seomcho looked at him in fright and got up to immediately flee the scene.
Soobin and Yeonjun watched in silence as Seomcho hurriedly left. Once the other was finally out of sight, Yeonjun sighed, making Soobin look at him.
"Are you out of your mind?" Yeonjun was the first one to speak up, his tone signaling his disappointment in Soobin.
"I should be the one asking you that!" Soobin exclaimed as he harshly pulled his wrists out of Yeonjuns grip.
"Don't you know how to defend yourself? We learned about self-defense in every year for gym, Soobin." Yeonjun continued, completely disregarding what Soobin said.
"That was a long time ago." Soobin argued, "But you didn't have to kick him to the ground and kick him in his mouth, you bastard!"
"Well, what was I supposed to do?" Yeonjun asked crossing his arms and raising his brow up.
"You could've just not hurt him," Soobin replied, feeling agitated at his lack of compassion.
Yeonjun scoffed at Soobin's reaction, "He wouldn't have backed off if I didn't lay my hands on him anyway. So what's your point?"
"Couldn't you just have intimidated him away?" Soobin suggested, feeling as if it was the most reasonable thing to probably have done.
"Intimidate him away?" Yeonjun repeated and snickered, feeling amused at his resolution, "What kind of resolution is that?"
"One without hurting the poor guy!" Soobin replied, his eyebrows furrowing, really feeling frustrated at Yeonjun.
"That guys ego is too huge for him not to back down without getting physical anyways," Yeonjun says as he stretched his arms, "Only idiots wouldn't know that."
Soobin sighed and rolled his eyes after, then he remembered, "But did you really have to tell him you're my boyfriend?"
"Do you ever stop running your mouth?" Yeonjun answered with a question, putting his hands in the pockets of his pants, "I'm gonna go now."
Before Soobin could even reply, Yeonjun was already walking away. He was left standing, pondering. He was taking a walk to clear his mind, not to get hit on by a creepy random guy and get magically saved by his ex.
Soobin took a deep breath and put his earphones back on. He didn't even know what else to think of, mind as blank as a sheet of paper. Soobin just decided to start walking back to his dorm, not wanting to be outside and vulnerable.
"What even is my life.."
