2028, Fae's new life.
Fae is in sitting on her bed, waiting for Mama Ashley to come present a new test. She's changed quite a bit. From having fine eyesight to wearing prescription glasses. All those tests over the past three years has taken a toll on her eye sight. Seeing nothing but blurs, she takes her glasses from the nightstand. The door creaks open, and in comes Mama Ashley. ''Good morning, 13-7. There's no tests today, you get a break. however, we do need to speak.'' She moves closer to Fae. ''You've been doing well, my child. I'm proud. We've been keeping you with the newcomers for three years now, and it's time for an upgrade.'' Mama Ashley continues with a serious tone, ''We're gonna transfer you, to another floor. You'll have more responsibility down there, and i trust you're ready for it?'' She looks down at Fae, who's sitting on her bed, listening. ''Am i the only one being upgraded?'' Fae asks. ''Well, you're not going alone, 13-7. Someone else is coming with you. What you have is special, and I believe there's more to it.'' Mama Ashley answers, waiting for an answer to her previous question. ''Special? How?'' Fae is looking Mama Ashley up and down, awaiting an answer. ''I've got no time for explanation. pack your clothes, go eat, and I'll come get you once you're done.'' Mama Ashley exits the room. Fae stands up, and heads to her little sink. She picks up her toothbrush and brushes her teeth, while running a hand through her freshly-washed hair, that's grown longer now. ''Fuck... I need to speak to Dylan.'' She puts on a new pair of clothes, and heads on out to the cafeteria.
Dylan is at the cafeteria fiddling around his dried up spaghetti with a plastic fork. Manny and Roach seemed to be talking. Still tensed up from the news. Fae approaches Dylan's table, sits down and starts eating. ''Hey, Dylan. You said we couldn't speak unless it was serious.. well, this is serious.'' Dylan looks up, chewing on his cheek. He drops his fork, breathed out sharply and folded his arms, waiting for Fae to proceed with what she had to say. ''Dylan...'' she moves closer, whispering her words. ''I'm being moved. And I'm not going alone. She told me I'm going with another... I don't know where, I dont know who, but she told me I'd have more responsibility down there."
"Who are you going with?" Dylan raises an eyebrow. "And what do you mean you're moving? Why?" Dylan shakes his head slowly. Fae puts a hand on Dylan's. "I don't know who. She said I'm being upgraded, so maybe it's you. I'm going today." Fae lowers her head. "I'm scared, D."
"Why would they move me? You didn't tell them anything about me did you? I have been trying so hard to work on it." Dylan whispered, his voice shaky and edgy. Fae moves her hand from Dylan's and puts in on her chin. "I don't know. But "upgraded" means I've probably done good, and so have you." Dylan breathed out, a relieved sigh. He looks at Fae and her different features. The dyed hair colour now faint, disappearing revealing her real layers. Her eyes brighter, now without dark mascara. She looked so different. Her armour, her mask removed. But so did he. "You look good. We can do this. I'll see you up, Rapunzel." He responds, as he gives a smug smile. Fae breaks a smile, and looks up at Dylan. "Down, Flynn." Smirking, she runs her hands through her hair. ''Anyways, ''Flynn'', I should go. Mama Ashley will be here soon enough.'' Fae gets up, picks up her tray and heads towards the bin. As she throws out her food, Mama Ashley walks in, looking at Fae.
