"Tell me darling, what are we looking for?" Loki asked as you looked through all of the selection in the clothing store. It was mainly just street clothes, but more your age group. It wasn't the most popular store either, which was nice. It made shopping that much easier.
"I don't know" you finally answered after a pregnant pause. "I might just order online" you huffed slightly.
"Oh, this!" He picked out a red dress with a low dip in the front, and looked a bit short.
"No," you shook your head.
"Come along Kitten, we only have an hour" he wasn't taking no for an answer. You sighed and took the garment to see that he picked out the correct sizing. You took the dress and went to the changing room. Loki continued to look at clothes white you were busy. You were in the middle of getting the dress on when more clothes came over the top of your door. "These too, my darling" he called. You flushed a bit and finished getting the dress on. It gave a generous view of your chest and went three quarters to your knees with a slit up the side to your panty line. It was a halter dress, and you had a zipper up the side to deal with. You looked at yourself in the mirror thinking you would need more shoes if you were going to start wearing things like this. It did look acceptable for a party if Tony threw it on you before your online ordering came in. There was a knock at your door and you grabbed the clothes from the top and hung them up before opening the door. Loki stood there and he looked you up and down with a grin on his face. "You look ravishing" he said, but the way he said it made a shiver go up your spine. Like he was doing the ravishing with just his words. "You need that for our date" he decided.
"I thought it didn't matter what I wore?" you said with a twinkle in your eye.
"It doesn't. You're right. You shouldn't get it. Other men may get the wrong idea and think you are not attached" he stood back.
"I take it back, I'm getting it" you said with a roll of your eyes and closed the door on him.
"I forbid it" he hastily called through the door.
"I already made up my mind" you called back and went to try on the next outfit.
For each outfit you put on, a majority of them were revealing and not your usual style. Loki would immediately disagree with the outfit saying you looked good enough to eat, and other men would get the wrong idea. He made it clear that you were his, and his alone. You had a feeling he was trying to get you to buy the clothes in his own way and you were playing to his whims. But you wanted to defy him somehow, and if he really didn't want you wearing them in public... you really wanted to have them to wear. You took the lot and went to the cashier and you took out your credit card and paid for them before Loki got out another word edgewise. They packed the bags, and you now had five bags to carry. Loki grumbled that he had gone too far and took the bags from you, carrying them with one hand while he took your hand while you started walking again but being mindful of how large he made his steps so you wouldn't be dragging behind him. You walked quickly to keep up and he seemed to catch on, and he suddenly slowed down his pace and took smaller steps for you. He let go of your hand and put his arm around your shoulders and pulled you in and gave you a kiss on your temple. You tried to struggle away, but it was in vain. You wanted to be there as much as he was putting you there. You still weren't used to this much outward affection, but he didn't seem to mind. Any man that looked in your general direction got a death glare from Loki. If you wouldn't have caught him doing it, you might not have believed it.
He brought you to the bookstore next and you grabbed a basket, finally escaping from his hold and headed to the romance novel section and you started reading the backs of different books to see which ones you wanted the most. Loki stood behind you, and would read over your shoulder as though it interested him to see what you were reading. When you picked out a book, he would grab the same book for his own basket. You got an impish smile on your face and looked for the dirtiest, filthiest book you could find and he didn't even miss a beat.
"Are you really going to read these?" you finally demanded.
"Of course," he said with a smirk. "It gives me ideas for our future" he gave an impish smile.
"This is true, these books have wonderful ideas" you sighed happily, grabbing another book. This one was a werewolf romance where the Alpha found his mate and it promised to be a very spicy read.
"Does the world know werewolves exist?" he asked you softly.
"No, and not all of the lore is true" you said, adding the book to your basket.
"Do you prefer werewolves over men?" he asked curiously.
"No, most men are the same," you shrugged. "Would it upset you to know that I dated Eric?" you asked and he frowned.
"I gather he didn't get the memo you are off the market" he said with a bit of a growl.
"That's because I'm not" you rolled your eyes.
"You are mine, it's that simple. The faster you give into the idea, the sooner we can start making our own little family" he said and your face went bright red at the implication of what he was saying.
"I'm not sure I'm mother material" you shook your head.
"Why not?" he asked in surprise.
"I grew up an orphan" you mumbled.
"I read about that," he frowned. "We will have to see" he wrapped his arms around you and held you close to his body. You relaxed after a few minutes in his hold, and just stood still while letting him hold you.

"There you are!" Gabby found you still being held from behind by Loki. Bucky was behind her holding a stack of books in one hand, and another bunch in a basket. "What are you doing?" she asked in surprise.
"Loki has it in his head that he's reading everything I read, so I'm picking the best and worst I can find" you said as you took down another two books, putting one in each basket.
"You don't usually let anyone hold you except me" she said, with a smile toying on her lips.
"Yes, well she needs to get used to it" Loki said matter of factly.
"You aren't supposed to push a dame," Bucky groaned at his friend.
"I'm not pushing," Loki shook his head.
"Yes you are" you rolled your eyes.
"I'm asserting myself," he said quickly.
"You've given the death glare to any man in a fifty foot radius" you sighed.
"They should know not to look in your direction. You are too stunning" Loki complained. "You stole my breath with just one look, and I am a god. What would happen to a normal man?" he asked. You rolled your eyes again and finished with your selection.
"I'll order the rest online" you said decisively.
"What's with all the bags of clothes?" Gabby asked, seeing them at Loki's feet.
"I said she looked too ravishing and not to get them" Loki said simply and Gabby seemed surprised.
"It's almost supper time, we promised to be back" Gabby said and you nodded. You picked up your basket and Loki grabbed his own basket and your bags of clothes. The four of you went to the cash registers and you were in the lead. Loki suddenly grabbed your basket and went and put both baskets on the counter. He asked for the books to be separated in the bags and promptly paid. You tried to argue but he wasn't hearing any of it. Bucky did the same thing to Gabby, neither one of them listening to your protests. They carried your bags out of the store and back to the car, putting them into the trunk of the car.
"I insist I pay you back" you finally said.
"Yes, we need to pay you both back" Gabby quickly agreed.
"We have our own money," you said.
"And we are independent women," Gabby agreed.
"Two independent women who deserve to be spoiled beyond compare. No, I think not" Loki said, opening the back door for you to get in. You wanted to be mad at him, but on the inside you were melting. He was incredibly sweet and you didn't know what to say.
"Then, thank you" you said, already scheming on ways you would be able to pay him back without him arguing.
"You're welcome" Loki buckled you in and gave you another kiss on the cheek before he went around to his side of the car.
"Yes, thank you" Gabby said and got up on her tiptoes and gave Bucky a kiss on the cheek. He broke out into a smile and opened her door for her to get in. She climbed in and he buckled her in before closing the door again. He ran to get in the driver's seat and started the car.
"Anywhere our passenger princesses would like to go before going home?" Bucky asked.
"No, thank you" you both said at the same time.
"Are you coming to my room tonight, buddy?" Bucky asked Loki as he started backing out of the parking spot.
"I do have more reading to do," Loki nodded. "I'll bring one of my new books for you to read as well," he added with an impish smile.
"Sounds good," Bucky nodded.
"What mischief are you ladies getting into this evening?" Loki asked as Bucky continued driving.
"I'm going to my special room and pretending the world doesn't exist for a few hours" you giggled.
"I'm hanging out with Willow and reading," Gabby said with a smile.
"Do you want to come to my suite and read with us?" Bucky asked her quickly.
"No, but thank you" she shook her head. "It's my special time with Willow, and she needs to know we are keeping our same routine."
"She can come to the music room with me" you offered.
"No, I need time with my girl too" she turned you down quickly. "Besides, she can't go between our bedrooms anymore. She needs her time with aunty Gabby."

"If you change your mind, my door is always open" Bucky told her.
"And you can send her in with me," you added.
"I'm not changing my mind" Gabby said firmly and you nodded to yourself. Loki reached across the seat and took your hand again. You got butterflies in your stomach again and let him intertwine your fingers together on the center of the seat. He tugged on your hand and he kissed the back of your hand and nuzzled his face against it in a loving manner. You bit your bottom lip to try to hide a smile that his action caused. He was winning your heart with ease, regardless of the argument about the kiss the two of you never shared.
