Chapter 35

"Kitten?" you heard Loki's voice before you saw him. You and Gabby had a long conversation about just about anything and everything. You felt content that you still had your best friend, and that was good enough for you right now. She also had you, which she felt assured in. You had both vowed to be better at communication during the week. Even though you barely saw each other, it was still important to reach out to one another on a regular basis.
"In here my darling" you called out to him, and Bucky peeked his head in first.
"Hey doll" he said to Gabby who perked up automatically. He came in and they shared a brief kiss. He took a bouquet of flowers out from behind his back and presented them to her and she broke out into a large smile.
"They are perfect," Gabby said quickly and got up. "I'll see you later" she waved to you.
"See you" you mirrored the wave. She left with Bucky and you heard her giggling in the hallway on the way back to her room. Loki popped his head in next and grinned.
"Are we alone, darling?" he asked, looking around.
"There's just Willow here" you gestured to her laying on the couch.
"Good" he came into the room with something squirming under a large jacket he was wearing and a hand behind his back.
"What did you do?" you giggled.
"Flowers" he handed you a bouquet of roses, and you took them while giving them an appreciative sniff.
"Thank you, they are wonderful" you cooed.
"And I present to you Kitty" he opened his black jacket and a black kitten was there snuggled into him and it let out a meow.
"Oh goodness!" you stood up and set the flowers on the coffee table. "You got a kitty?" you asked him while taking the small kitten from him and giving it a cuddle. It mewed happily and started to purr.
"Correction, I got us a kitten" he said with a broad smile on his face.
"Us?" you echoed.
"Yes, it's only fitting that this kitten has two parents," he said, petting the small kitten's head. "Besides, you went around asking everyone about my kitten and they knew it was me. It's only fair we start showing them we have a kitten of our own now" he grinned. You knew in a way this was one of his tricks, but you knew he would genuinely never hurt you or this kitten.
"Alright Kitty, welcome to your new home" you cooed, kissing them on top of their head. "Is it a boy or a girl?" you asked.
"A boy," he confirmed. "And he's already fixed and has his shots" he informed you. "We just have to take him in a month for some more of his needles," he said, picking up the flowers. "I did pick up everything we need for him, and I thought it would only be fitting we place it all in your room since that's where we spend most of our time" he said as he put his hand in the small of your back and started guiding you out of the room. You stopped for a moment to grab your book, cell phone, and to call Willow to follow you.
Loki walked into your open bedroom door and you saw cat dishes set up and already filled, a cat box near the bathroom, and an assembled cat tree towards the back wall of the living room.
"You were busy" you said the obvious.
"It only took a moment or two" Loki shrugged easily.
"Come on Kitty, let's see if you like your new cat tree" you carried him over and put him on the second lowest branch. He meowed as though he wasn't ready not to be held and you picked him back up. "My little darling" you cooed to him and held him close.
"I take it the cat sleeps with us?" Loki asked, looking a little defeated.
"Of course" you gave a bright smile. "Go get changed. We are snuggling this little man to make him feel at home" you cooed to the kitten.
"I'll be right back my darling" Loki nodded and walked out of the room. You went into your closet and got changed into a baggy tank top and fresh panties before padding your way back to the bedroom. Willow was already up on the bed and wagged her tail.
"Oh sweetness, I forgot to take you out" you pouted.
"I've got her" Loki came back into the room wearing a robe.
"I can take her!" you shook your head.
"Willow and I have a date, you need to take care of Kitty" he pointed at the small kitten trying to get your attention.
"Thank you Loki" you gave a broad smile and he called for Willow. She barked and jumped off the bed and followed him dutifully out of the suite. You picked up Kitty and he curled right into your arms. "Looks like it's just you and me" you laid back and Kitty started purring loudly. Before Loki even got back, you were sound asleep with a purr filling the room. Loki just gave a loving smile before taking off his robe and shirt and crawled into bed with you before Willow jumped up onto the end of the bed at both your feet. Loki pulled you in and you cuddled into him.

When you woke up in the morning you were curled up on Loki's chest with his arm around you and Kitty was on his chest with his little black paws touching you. Willow was snoring at the end of the bed, seeming relaxed for the moment.
"Good morning love" Loki said softly to you as you stretched a little.
"Good morning my love" you yawned. "Did Kitty even get off the bed last night?" you asked.
"He did. He went to use the litter box, as well as he had something to eat. He batted at poor Willows tail for a bit, and tried grooming your beautiful hair" he listed everything off.
"Did you even sleep?" you asked in surprise.
"On and off. It's hard to sleep when I'm not tired" he frowned.
"Well you will be tomorrow morning, we have night missions all week. You need some sleep" you sighed.
"I'll sleep a little after breakfast" he promised. "As long as you lay with me" he added softly.
"Wherever you wish" you nodded, sealing the promise with a soft kiss on his lips. He hummed happily and you rolled off the bed.
"Where are you going so delightfully ravishing?" he asked with a quirked eyebrow.
"Miss WIllow needs her walk, and that takes a bit" you giggled. "Stay in bed, I'll be back as soon as she's done" you promised. "Kitty needs you" you turned the tables on him. Kitty meowed pitifully for you and jumped off the bed and started following you into the closet where you were trying to change.
"Kitty has decided he is going with you, which means you need to give me a moment to change. I'll be joining you. You carry Kitty, I'll take charge of Willow" he said getting out of bed. He flicked the comforter and the bed was quickly made.
"Loki, you barely slept" you tried to argue.
"I slept enough for now. I have a promise of rest later, which is what matters more" he came into the closet wearing his shirt and robe again. He kissed you softly on the lips and smiled. "Did I tell you how beautiful you are today?" he asked.
"No, but you are devastatingly handsome" you countered quickly, while pulling on your leggings and sports bra.
"Were I another man I would lay myself at your feet and beg for you to do as you will with me" he purred. "I may still. Your beauty is incomparable, my future princess" he pulled you in close and gave your butt a firm squeeze. He gave a soft groan. "Yes, I don't think I shall be sleeping later. I wish to worship your body as it deserves and lavish it with kisses and touches" he said softly.
"No, you'll sleep or else I won't come in" you said firmly, grabbing a t-shirt and slipping it on.
"Very well, but I won't make it easy for you" he warned with a chuckle.
"You have until I have my sneakers on to get dressed" you blushed at the thought of what he had planned.

"I'll be back, minx" he rushed out of the room. You giggled and picked up Kitty who purred happily.
"We will see about that, won't we Kitty?" you asked him as you grabbed your sneakers and socks. You headed back into the bedroom to put them on and Kitty purred right beside you. You picked him up again and called for Willow before going out your front door.
"Ah, there you two are" Thor greeted you in the hallway. "I just got back not that long ago" he gave a wide smile. "May I see Kitty for a moment?" he asked.
"Of course" you smiled and handed Kitty over. Thor frowned as he took the kitten and looked at you curiously.
"He's smaller than I remember," he said, looking confused.
"That's because he's just a baby," you giggled.
"What magic is this?" he murmured to himself.
"It's not Loki, Thor" you giggled.
"It's not?" he asked, looking surprised.
"No, it's the kitten he adopted for us!" you smiled.
"Is this another trick?: Thor asked you, covering Kitty's ears as he spoke.
"I think getting a kitten that looks like him is a trick in itself, but no. That's an actual kitten" you giggled.
"And you know he was the cat following you around?" Thor seemed surprised.
"Yes, he finally admitted it. It's okay though, I enjoy him in whatever form he chooses" you nodded.
"You're a stronger woman than I thought. I for one would not tolerate it" he chuckled. Kitty leapt from his arms back to yours and he held him close.
"Brother, don't go giving her ideas" Loki came out of his room in a pair of blue jeans and a white button up that had the sleeves rolled up. "I adopted the cat yesterday, it's not a trick. Not really anyways" he walked to you and put his arm around your waist.
"We will have to catch up after, Willow needs her walk" you smiled at Thor who took a step back.

"I'm looking forward to it, Lady Y/N" Thor smirked and both you and Loki walked past him in a rush to get Willow outside. You didn't want to be late for breakfast after all.
