We continued our journey towards Janet's house, I felt a heavy weight upon me, knowing I had to reveal the truth to my friends. With a heavy heart, I recounted the chilling encounter with my older brother Lucifer, explaining how he had threatened Janet and her family if I didn't comply with his demands.
Their confusion was palpable, and I could see the disbelief written across their faces as I spoke of Lucifer as my brother. But I knew I had to show them the truth, no matter how unsettling it might be.
"Stop the car," I finally instructed, my voice steady despite the turmoil raging within me. As the car came to a halt near the edge of the woods, I took a deep breath, mentally preparing myself for what was to come. Night had fallen, shrouding the forest in darkness, which was fortunate for what I was about to reveal.
Leading them deeper into the woods, I could sense their fear mounting with each step we took. It amused me in a bittersweet way, knowing that their fear was a natural response to the unknown, but also knowing that it was exactly what Lucifer wanted. But we were not like him, I reminded myself, and it was time to show them that.
Stopping abruptly, I turned to face them, my heart pounding in my chest as I prepared to reveal my true nature. With a flick of my wrist, I unfurled my wings, their immense size stretching outwards and casting a shadow over them.
