Third Person's POV
Hiccup was sleeping peacefully when he was jolted awake by his dad's loud knocking, he almost fell out of his bed.
"HICCUP!" his dad shouted loudly that it echoed around their house, Toothless was definitely very pissed off and hissed at the door, "I'm up!" Hiccup replied, "It's okay, bud. I'll get it." he told Toothless before walking up to the door.
"What's going on? The sun hasn't even-" Hiccup was cut off when his dad grabbed him by his shoulders with a stern look on his face, "Did something happen?" Hiccup asked, "We need to talk." his dad told him, "O-Okay." he replied. His dad walked downstairs toward the kitchen as he followed, "Am I in trouble? Did I do something I don't remember?" Hiccup thought of the possible instances that his dad wanted to talk about, "You know, I support everything you do and I am extremely proud of the man you've become." his dad opened and it just made Hiccup even more nervous since he has no idea where it was going, "I'll ask you something and I hope you will not lie to me." his dad continued and I nodded and looked on the table top waiting for whatever dad would say.
His dad took in a deep breath and exhaled, "Are you and Astrid dating?", Hiccup looked up in shock, "What?" he asked, "Are you dating the Hofferson's lass?" his dad asked again, "Where did you hear that?" Hiccup looked at his dad with furrowed brows, "I was scrolling through this social media thing and it was, what was that word... Trending. I read it and it was saying, 'Is Henry Haddock III and Astrid Hofferson dating." his dad told him, "Wait. You have social media?" Hiccup asked, "Yeah... Wait. Don't change the subject. So are you and the lass dating?" his dad looked him straight in the eye, "Should I tell him the truth?" Hiccup thought but decided to lie, "Yeah." Hiccup replied, "THAT'S MY BOY!" his dad exclaimed, "Shhh! You'll wake up the neighbors." Hiccup told his dad, "I knew it. Ever since you were kids, I knew you have eyes on the Hofferson's Lass." his dad patted his back.
Hiccup's POV
I went upstairs back to my room after talking to my dad, I kind of felt bad about lying to my own father and seeing him smile widely made it even worse for me.
I couldn't get back to sleep anymore but Toothless had no problem snoozing off as I saw him sprawled comfortably on his bed. I went to the backyard and decided to put shots up instead until the sun rose in the horizon.
I felt good after sweating, I went back inside and I saw my dad with a grin still on his face, internally I cursed myself since I don't know if I have the heart to tell him that it was all an act between me and Astrid.
"Go and clean yourself. I made you breakfast." my dad said cheerfully, "O-okay, dad. It looks good." I hurriedly ran up to my room, to take a bath and prepare for school.
Astrid's POV
I was woken up by my alarm, I washed my face and went out for breakfast and that's when I saw my parents sitting around the dinner table staring at me intently. "Good morning." I greeted with a smile, "Sit." my mom said and I instantly knew I did something wrong even though I couldn't think of anything... but one.
"This is it." I thought as I pulled a chair and sat while looking at them, "Do you have something to say to us?" my dad asked, I sighed, "I'm sorry. I should have told you about Hiccup." I said while looking at my hands, "Is is true?" my mom asked, "Y-yes." I replied and all of a sudden, they happily cheered.
I was stunned at their reaction, "Thank Thor. You chose someone like Hiccup." my mom hugged me, "I will allow this situation you two have but I want to talk to him face to face, man to man like in the olden days." my dad declared, I just smiled in reply. "Oh no. This just gotten out of hand extraordinarily." I told myself.
I went back to my room, not knowing what to do. "I need to talk to Hiccup." I said as I started to prepare for school.
Hiccup's POV
I was about to get out of the house when I heard my dad shout, "Say hi to the lass for me.", "Okay, dad." I smiled before racing out the door where I met Fishlegs who was smiling at me, "Not you too." I told him, "What?" he asked as we walked towards the bus stop.
Thankfully, I wasn't confronted as much about the article since most of the people in Berk Institute already knew about me and Astrid but I still get the occasional 'Good for you' and 'Congratulations' and death glares from Astrid's fans and admirers.

It was already lunch and I was about to go to the Mess Hall with Fishlegs when I felt my phone ringing, "Uh wait. Someone's calling me." I told him, I looked at the caller ID and it was Astrid. "You can go ahead." I showed Fishlegs the caller ID, "Hello Milady. To what do I owe the pleasure of receiving your call?" I greeted, I heard her chuckle, "What are you saying?" she asked, "Just trying something out so what's up?" I replied, "We need to talk." she said, "Alright. Where?" I responded, "Your gym. Bring some food and hurry." she told me, "Got it. Be there in five." the call ended as I ran out of the classroom and to the Mess Hall.
I looked around before going inside the gym, making sure nobody would see me enter. "Hey." I saw Astrid sitting on the bench, "Hi Hiccup." she waved, I sat beside her and put the bag of food between us.
"I forgot to ask what you wanted so I just got us some chicken, salad, burgers, fries, water, and sodas." I told her as I pulled out food after food from the bag, "This is perfect." she accepted the salad and chicken that I gave her, "I still don't know how you can eat that." I pointed at her salad, "What? This is delicious." she continued munching her vegetables, I went and ate my burger and fries.
While we were eating, I glanced at Astrid and I saw dressing sauce on the corner of her mouth , "You got something." I told her, "Hmm? Where?" she asked, "Here." I proceeded to wipe the sauce with my thumb, "There." I smiled, "Thanks." she said, I was acting normal but my heart was beating crazy after I did what I did since I only saw it being done in movies.
We finished eating and I was cleaning up the packages of food we ate, "What are we talking about?" I asked, "Oh yeah. I forgot about that. My parents found out about the article and asked me about us." Astrid replied, "Same thing happened with my dad. He woke me up at around five in the morning just to ask me if we were really dating." I told her, "What did you say?" we asked in unison which resulted to laughter, "Okay. You first." I said, "I told them that we really are." she replied, "What's their reaction?" I questioned, "They... They were ecstatic." she told me and a smile formed on my face, "Another fuel for you ego." she said seeing my face.
"How about your dad?" she asked, "He's really happy. He has been pushing me to you since we met with your parents." I told her, "I really felt bad about it. I wasn't comfortable lying to my dad and he really looked happy." I added, "I'm sorry for pulling you in this." she apologized, "It's okay. We'll figure something out when the time comes." I replied, "Oh yeah. My parents wanted to ask you to dinner again." she looked at me, "I sense a 'but'..." I asked, "But my dad wants to talk with you." she grinned, "Talk? You mean the talk-talk, right? I asked and she nodded.
"I'm sorry, Hiccup. It's just my past boyfriend was a bit much to handle and my dad really disliked him so I think he just really want to have a heart to heart talk with you." Astrid told me, "It's okay. We're already in this. I'll see this to the end." I replied, "Thanks." I heard her say and I saw her scooched over close to me and gave me a hug.
I leaned my head to hers, "Maybe it'll be easier if we just date for real." I muttered.
