Chapter Forty One The After Math Season 1, Episode 8 "You're my sister. I should have protected you." ====================================
As soon as Jade hit the floor, Clark picked her up and shot into the sky. He rushed to the fortress. As soon as he got there he laid her on the floor and rushed over to the Hologram of his dad. "What's going on with my daughter?" Clark asks. "It appears she was hit with a lot of ex kryptonite. I expect it was sprayed into her face and some got into her throat making it harder for her to breath." His dad tells him. "Do what has to be done." Clark says, before rushing over to Jade again and grabbing her hand. "I'm so sorry, baby girl. But this is the only way." Lasers then comes out of the walls and start to burn the ex Kryptonite out of Jade's system.
As the lasers disappear after a couple minutes, Jade's eyes slowly open. "Dad?" Jade asks weakly. "Hey, sweetheart." Clark asks, giving her hand a squeeze. "How are you feeling?" "My body feels like it's on fire." Jade says, slowly sitting up with Clark's help. "It'll will stop soon." Clark tells her. "But other then that you feeling okay?" "Yeah." Jade says. "That's good." Clark says, before helping Jade to her feet. "Come on. Let's get you home. Your mothers probably worried sick."

"Are you out of your mind?" Lois asks Jonathan, as the pair sat in the kitchen, waiting for Clark and Jade to come back. "You don't go snooping around some guy from another world's murder van." "I mean, I..." Jonathan starts. "I thought it was safe earlier." "Jonathan, nothing is as it seems with this kind of stuff." Clark tells him, as him and Jade walk into the kitchen. "Sweetheart." Lois says, rushing over and hugging Jade. "You okay?" "Yeah. Turns out what I was sprayed with was Ex Kryptonite." Jade informs them. "Okay. Well you sit down cause you need this talk as well." Lois tells her. "I nearly die and I'm getting scolded?" Jade asks sitting down next to Jonathan. "I said I would go back in there with you. What were you guys thinking?" Lois asks. "I just thought I'd look around. Jade found me in there." Jonathan answers. "Without me?" Lois asks. "What were you guys really doing in there?" "Mom, even I knew how upset you were earlier about what we saw in there." Jonathan says. "And then that crazy hammer thing that he made. I thought maybe I could go in there, and I could... I could look for..." "Hang on, you were looking for weapons?" Clark asks. "Dad. You, Lordan and Jade basically are weapons." Jonathan says, standing up. "I am the only one in this house who is completely unarmed." "Jonathan, your mother and I will protect you." Clark says. "Really because me and Jade were one second away from being dead." Jonathan argues. "And mom couldn't do anything." "Jonathan, stop..." Jade tries to cut in. "And you... you almost didn't make it in time." Jonathan says. "Jonathan, look at me. Look at me!" Lois shouts. "I let you come with me because I trusted you. I trusted that you were responsible to know what's at stake, to know how dangerous this all is. "So now... so now you don't trust me?" Jonathan asks. "Guys, can we please just calm down?" Jade asks, standing up. "You knew there was a risk! I know you did, and yet you went in anyway, alone, behind my back." Lois says. "To find weapons? You almost died! Jade almost died! Not because you were unarmed, because you were reckless and stupid! And if you had died, the only person that would've been to blame is yourself! Get out of my face!" Jonathan then walks out, Jade looks between the door and her parents before going to follow Jonathan. As she goes to walk out the door, she goes lightheaded causing her to need to lean against the wall. Clark quickly rushes over holding her up. "Come on. Let's get you to bed." Clark says. Jade nods before Clark helps her to her room.

Jade was laying down in her bed, when there was a knock at the door. She turns around to face the door as it opens to reveal Jonathan. "Hey." Jade says with a small smile. "Hey." Jonathan says, not smiling back. "What's wrong?" Jade asks. "I'm so sorry, Jade." Jonathan says, sitting down on the bed. "What for? You haven't done..." Jade starts. "You're my sister. I should have protected you." Jonathan says. "You did the best you could, Jon." Jade tells him. "Yet that wasn't enough." Jonathan says. "I'm okay, aren't I?" Jade says, sitting up and grabbing Jonthan's hand. "Plus, It's my fault for trying to open the door." "I know you were going to try out for that Musical Revue. Amelia told me about it." Jonathan tells her. "Oh, your new offically girlfriend?" Jade asks, with a smirk. "E feel up to going still?" Jonahan asks. "Yeah. But mom and dad will never let me go, not after what's happened. They want me to rest." Jade says. "I'll help you sneak out." Jonathan says, before standing up. "Come on."
