Cassie: Why'd you leave?

Jerk 🙄: What happened to you?

Cassie: Thanks for the ride home

Jerk 🙄: Were you eavesdropping?

It's Saturday and I have nothing to do. I could go hang out with Cassie or Zac, but I don't want to explain my complete failure of being quiet to them.

"Amanda! You have someone here to see you!" Called my mom from downstairs. The only visitor I ever get is the pizza delivery guy or from Cassie, and out of those two, I hope it's pizza. "Coming!"

I walked down the stairs and looked out the door and saw Niall with his hands behind his back.

"Are you busy today?" He asked rubbing the back of his neck with one of his hands, his other remaining behind his back. He must be holding something.

"No, I was gonna just sleep in and get fat while watching Netflix," I answered. "Why?"

He was silent for a moment trying to muster up the courage to say something to me. He took a breath, "Um, would you like to go to the park with me?" He asked holding out some flowers. "I mean, only..if you want to," he said taking the flowers out of my face and held it to his chest.

"Oh Niall," I started.

"I know, it's a stupid idea, I'll just go, I'm sorry," he said turning around.

"No," I grabbed his arm. "I would love to go to the park with you." He turned around, his smile contagious. "Really?! I mean," he coughed. "Really?"

I laughed at him and told him to wait in the living room while I went to go change from my pajamas.

"I'm glad you came to get me," I started as we walked the path. "I kind of didn't want to stay home and get fat,"

"You're welcome," he gave a small laugh. "I was actually kind of nervous you'd want to stay home,"

"Why would you think that?"

"I don't know..kind of..new at this kind of thing,"

"But you seem to talk to Cassie just fine,"

"You're different from Cassie..she doesn't make me nervous as much,"

"And your nervous because?"

"Because..." He looked around. "Oh look," he pointed to a blanket with a basket laying on top of it under a tree. "A picnic basket, who put that there," he said trying to act like he didn't know. He's a horrible actor.

"Want to have a picnic?" He asked me letting me sit before him.

"If you don't know who's it is, should we be eating it?" I asked playing along like I didn't know.

"I put it here, I was fibbing. Surprise," he said doing the jazz hands. I chuckled at him and let him open the basket.

"Wow Niall, these definitely aren't sandwiches,"

"Was that what you wanted? I'll go get some if-,"

"No no, this is fine," I said looking at the macaroons, cake pops, orange juice, bags of all kinds of fruits and more. "Wow," I replied to the sight of all the food.

"My grandmother is a pastry chef and made these for me,"

"Niall that's so sweet! Is this all for me?" I asked looking from the food up to him smiling. "Well..maybe,"

"Niall!" I launched at him with a big bear hug and he fell over. "Oh! My wenis,"

I quickly stopped hugging him and confused and startled. "You're what?"
