"Have you gotten a ticket for homecoming yet?" Aaron asked then shooting the ball. He decided to invite me to the gym to just hang out and shoot some hoops.

"No, have you?"

"Just gotta ask someone first. I do have the tickets though,"

"Tickets? You're buying for your date too?" I asked shooting the ball.

"Yeah, it's the gentlemanly thing to do," he smiled.

"You're right. I just feel jealous for the lucky girl you're gonna ask getting that free ticket,"

"All about that free ticket huh?" He joked.

"Yep. Gotta go for the boys with the dollar signs," I joked back and he shook his head smiling, shooting the ball again.

"Touchdown!" I yelled.

He laughed, "Its not a touchdown,"

"I know, just making sure you knew your sports,"

"I'm pretty sure I know what a touchdown is, I play the sport,"

"That's not always true, you can play something without knowing about it,"

"Name one thing,"

"Side Hoes. That's why they call them players and cheaters,"

"We're talking about sports though,"

"You weren't specific, that's not my fault." I pointed out and he shrugged his shoulders in a agreement.

I opened my the gym's locker and turned on my phone reveling that I had gotten a text from Brooklyn.

Brooklyn: Hey! I'm inviting just girls over to come hang out again! Wanna come?

Me: Sure

I had nothing else better to do with my life.

"If you were asked to go to homecoming? Would you go?" Aaron asked starting the conversation as we were walking out.

"Yeah, especially if that person bought a ticket for me. I hate to see someone's money go to waste," I answered. "I was gonna go with my friend, but I just haven't gotten around to talking to her,"

"Cassie?" Aaron asked and I nodded my head. "Why aren't you guys talking again?"

"I don't know, it's hard to explain,"

"I guess no one can help the situation if it's hard to explain,"

"Basically it's kind of my fault, but I'm going to fix it,"

"How?"

"I'm going to...think of something,"

"Brilliant idea,"

"Thanks, I try," I said flipping my hair. He gave a small chuckle and we headed our separate ways.

"Welcome back Amanda!" Brooklyn greeted me and walked me to the basement where everyone was.

"Hey Amanda!" Ilianna said first then everyone said hi after her.

"Hey guys," I responded and a familiar face came out of the bathroom.

Cassie.

She looked at me but didn't say hi, probably playing along with the "I'm not talking to you thing," but I was going to fix this.
