His red flags
"I'm all yours now, what do you want to do?"
"WILL YOU BE MY GIRLFRIEND?" Aiko's voice rang out, accompanied by the sight of a bouquet of flowers and a handmade poster. [Name] stood before him, her jaw dropping in disbelief at the unexpected gesture. Her heart swelled with joy as she dashed towards him, enveloping him in a warm embrace. "Yes! I'll be your girlfriend!" she exclaimed, her smile radiant with happiness.
Relief flooded Aiko's features as he released [Name] from his embrace."Thank god, I don't know what I would've done if you said no," Aiko admitted, putting down [Name] from his hold, handing her the bouquet and the carefully crafted poster.
"You know, you could've asked me somewhere else, not in front of my house. My dad wouldn't have been happy if he saw this," she teased gently.
"I thought he knew that we were talking," Aiko replied with a sheepish grin.
"Only my mom knows. I was waiting to be official before anything,"
"That makes sense. Well you can tell him now," Aiko suggested, pulling [Name] into another affectionate embrace. She laughed, feeling a surge of warmth at his side.
"Aiko.. cmon.. I came over after you invited me only to sit and listen to you and your friends talk," [Name] pouted, feeling a bit neglected.
"Hold on guys.. I'm almost done, this is important,"Aiko replied, his attention divided between [Name] and his friends.
[Name] just wanted the attention of her boyfriend. And she was going to get it. She rose from his bed and silently approached Aiko from behind, enveloping him in a gentle hug.
"Please Aiko, let's do something," she whispered into his ear, mindful of his friends' presence. Aiko turned to meet [Name]'s gaze, a smile gracing his lips.
"Guys, I'll call you back later," Aiko announced, ending the call and rising from his chair.
"I'm all yours now, what do you want to do?" Aiko smiled as he caressed her hair. [Name] considered her options, but since Aiko had initiated the invitation, she deferred to his choice.
"You invited me over, you should have something in mind?"
"I just like having you around," Aiko admitted, flopping down on his bed with a contented sigh. "How much?"[Name] couldn't help but smile as she joined him onto his bed.
"A lot," Aiko murmured, his eyes meeting [Name]'s as she caressed his cheek. "Then pay attention to me," she said with a playful smile.
"I am," Aiko assured her, his fingers intertwining with hers.
"I mean... now you are. But you were ignoring me to talk to your friends earlier," [Name] pouted again, her disappointment evident.
"Here you go," Aiko sat up, turning to face [Name]. "Can't we just chill or something?"
"That's what we're doing though," [Name] turned her head to look at her boyfriend, her expression softening.
"Until you started an argument," Aiko pointed out, a hint of amusement in his voice.
"I didn't mean to. You know I hate arguments," [Name] frowned, her gaze dropping to her hands.
"Yet you're always starting one."
"Sorry, Aiko," [Name] apologized, her fingers nervously picking at her nails.
"It's whatever," Aiko replied, lying back down next to [Name]. He studied her for a moment, his expression thoughtful.
"[Name],"
"Yeah?"
"I love you," Aiko reached out to hold her hands, stopping her from her anxious fidgeting.
"I love you too," [Name] smiled, her attention fully on Aiko now.
Aiko pulled her closer, enveloping her in a warm embrace. He felt her smile against his chest, and in that moment, he couldn't help but smile too, content in each other's arms.
"Aiko, not in front of Emi, please," [Name] stressed, her tone firm as she glanced at her best friend.
She could feel Emi's discomfort growing with each passing moment. It wasn't the first time Aiko had acted this way, and it was becoming increasingly humiliating for [Name].
Every argument seemed to escalate, leaving [Name] caught in the middle. She knew Emi's patience was wearing thin, and she dreaded what her friend might say.
"Chisaki can get up and leave for all I care. This isn't about her anyways," Aiko dismissed Emi's presence, his focus solely on [Name] as the argument continued. Emi's jaw dropped at his words, her disbelief evident.
"I don't care if it isn't about her, it's rude to argue in front of her," [Name] insisted, crossing her arms in frustration.
"You went out with her knowing how she acts with boys. You're going to let her influence you and ruin what we have,"
"I'm leaving before I start saying shit, see you [Name]," Emi scowled, shooting Aiko a disapproving look before walking away.
"Aiko are you like.. insane? That's my bestfriend, there's no reason why you should be speaking about her like that. What made you think that was okay?" [Name] questioned, her voice tinged with disappointment.
"Sorry, but I mean it. She can't keep a boyfriend.. at all,"
"Ever considered that it's the guys fault? Insult her one more time, and I swear i'm breaking up with you," [Name] warned, beginning to walk away from Aiko.
"Wait, I'm sorry. Come back," Aiko called after her, jogging to catch up.
"What?" [Name] turned to face him, her expression guarded.
"I'm sorry about that, I just.. I don't want to risk losing you,"
"Then stop talking shit about Emi. Apologize to her or it's over," [Name] asserted firmly, her eyes locked on Aiko's.
"I'll apologize..,"Aiko promised, his gaze unwavering.
Aiko stood there waiting for [Name] to respond. "I love you, don't forget that. Even if I say the wrong this about people, it's because I care about you.."he added softly.
"Yeah, right," [Name] replied, her tone skeptical as she turned away, still processing the weight of their argument.
