"HOLD THIS, I PROMISE I WON'T TAKE LONG," Emi's hurried command was accompanied by a swift toss of her bookbag, who was able to catch it by a centimeter.

"You could've passed it to me!" [Name] quipped playfully, watching Emi disappear into the restroom.

Rather than joining Emi inside, [Name] leaned against the hallway wall, her mind preoccupied. The morning had been a blur, and the idea of lingering in a school restroom wasn't appealing.

She was somewhat in a daze that entire morning. And she knew Emi would speak to her in the bathroom. [Name] knew as something else was occupying her mind, she wasn't going to be able to give Emi her full attention.

The previous day felt surreal to [Name]. Suna's mention of her behavior after waking up lingered in her mind, a nagging sense of embarrassment gnawing at her.

A part of her felt as if he didn't say everything though. The way he thought and smiled to himself made her feel this way.

Interrupting her reverie, Emi seized the opportunity to startle her friend, a mischievous grin dancing across her face.

"Boo!" Emi exclaimed, her hand grasping [Name]'s shoulder as [Name] startled, a laugh escaping her lips in response.

"God you scared me!" [Name] chuckled, her heart still racing from the unexpected scare.

"We can go to class now, thanks for waiting for me," Emi stated, taking her bookbag from [Name]'s arm.

"You could've picked the bathroom closest to the class, but no, you chose this unknown bathroom," [Name] teased, her laughter echoing lightly in the tiled corridor.

Emi shrugged with a grin. "The ones close to the classes are so gross... And they're always full of people," she explained, wrinkling her nose at the thought of navigating the crowded washrooms.

As they continued toward their classroom, a subtle shift in their pace caught their attention. Emi glanced at [Name], silently gauging her reaction to what lay ahead.
