A/N- I've been planning out a post James bad ending fic for a while now, which was inspired by Accepting Destiny- The Afterstory// Seduce Me Otome 2: The Demon War by @babyfaceyoongi
I read their story, and it brought me to tears, and I was immediately inspired to write a fic based on it. I have been off and on planning it out, but today I received a request to write about the brothers finding Mika after James accepts his fate and wrote out a scene I've had planned for a while now. This scene may seem incomplete, and that's because it is. It will most likely be implemented into the large fic, but that could be a very long time from now. So, just know that this is not the entire story.

Also, this book has reached 110 reads, which is INSANE. Thank you to everyone who takes time out of their day to read my work, I truly appreciate it.

The group sat in the living room of Sam and Carry's small apartment, emotions and tension high. James was now the demon lord, and Mika was baptized, and James willingly gave her to them. She was in his arms, and she gave up. Sam kept his fist clenched, shaking from anger, when Damien spoke. "He didn't want to."

Erik swallowed hard, unable to process the events that had unfolded. He had tears in his eyes as he spoke. "He had her in his arms. He had options."

Carry, like the other wives, had tears falling down her face. Her and Mika were quite close, she'd even been the one Mika called regarding her nightmare of James. She was heartbroken to know Mika would have her memories wiped but could only imagine the impacts the decision was having on James. She knew the feeling of needing to keep a loved one safe.

Ultimately, the boys, plus Carry, decided to find Mika while the wives left for home. Carry followed along, hoping there was a chance of retrieving her memories.

Upon arriving, Damien could hear her thoughts. They were frantic, confused, and scared. "She's up."

Matthew looked to Damien, hopeful. Damien frowned, staring at the door. "She doesn't remember anything, and she might try to attack us, so be careful."

Sam took a deep breath and opened the door, the others following close behind him. When the door shut, the boys heard a faint shriek from the master bedroom. Matthew noticed Simon, who sat idly on a nearby table, but instead of being scared of the creature, he was happy. Simon could watch after Mika if they couldn't. Hearing his thoughts, Damien placed a hand on his brother's shoulder.

Damien had become more efficient in controlling his mind reading abilities, but Mika's were so frantic, that all of his training and spells were no aid in blocking her out. Unable to take it anymore, Damien began to ascend up the stairs, the others following behind him. That was until Mika stepped out of the room, holding a baseball bat in a defensive position. "What do you want with me?" She yelled; her eyes scared yet determined. Sam would've smirked in any other situation, knowing all too well of Mika's incredible ability to defend herself.

Damien put his hands up defensively. "Hey, we aren't here to hurt you. We're friends."

Mika furrowed her brows, tightening her grip on the bat. "Where am I?"

Matthew bit his lip, swallowing his tears, while Erik spoke up, his tone calm, a large contrast to his thoughts. "Well, Princess, this is your home."

Mika didn't move, but her eyes trailed the mansion. There were pictures of her and others, assumingly family and friends. One stood out to her, a picture near the staircase including her and the men in front of her, but one of the faces made her freeze.

He was incredibly handsome, slightly disheveled black hair and glasses with a suit that made him appear much too dressed for the occasion. He was looking at Mika, his eyes full of love and admiration.

She didn't know why but seeing him made her chest squeeze painfully and her tears that she'd been holding back began to fall. Slowly she lowered the bat, keeping it in her grasp. "What happened to me?"

Carry, who'd been silently trying to sense angelic activity, moved around Damien and smiled kindly. "You had your memory wiped, by angels. If you'd like, I can try to retrieve them for you."

The boys all let out a startled gasp. "Carry, are you sure?" Sam asked.

Carry nodded, stepping closer to Mika. "I promise, we aren't going to hurt you."

Eventually, the group all gathered in Mika's bedroom. Carry had Mika lay down on the bed, lightly laying her head across her lap. Carry looked at the boys, who were on edge as they watched their friend- no. Family. Mika was family, practically a sister.

Carry's eyes flashed white briefly, Mika's following suit, before suddenly Mika shot up, looking around at the boys.

She remembered everything. Her fiancé, Raestrao. He'd given her to the angels. He gave her up.

He'd given up on her.

She began to sob violently, her body shaking with sadness, love, heartbreak, betrayal, confusion. She felt it all as she remembered how she ended up here, why she couldn't remember anything but her name.

The boys stared at her while Damien spoke, his voice breaking. "She remembers." is all he could say before moving to sit with Mika. She'd barely even registered they were still there; she was so caught up in her grief to notice.

"Mika." Damien said quietly, not wanting to scare her.

Mika didn't respond, her face pressed against her knees which she had curled herself around at one point. She was so confused. She loved James with every fiber of her being, why would he do that? Why wouldn't he keep fighting for them?

Finally, she looked up at the boys, her eyes red and swollen. They had all been crying, some more openly than others. She couldn't bring herself to speak, and the boys seemed to notice as Sam walked up and pressed a hand against her upper back. "It's gonna be alright. We got you." He said, determined to protect her from any more threats. She'd just been through a shit storm and a half; the boys would do anything to help her.

Mika swallowed hard, finally speaking. She'd meant for her voice to be strong and confident as usual, but it came out weak and timid. "He isn't coming back, is he?"

Erik wiped his face and lifted her hand to kiss her knuckles. "No, Princess."

Mika nodded absentmindedly, unable to make eye contact with the men in front of her. Her eyes stung, but she barely felt it. She felt numb, barely registering the brothers and wives who'd come to visit trying to get her to eat. Barely registering her lack of sleep. Barely there. Without James, there was nothing there.
