This was an anon request on tumblr!

Mika was always a bit uncomfortable about calling the boys her servants. Thankfully, when the house party happened, they used magic to ensure no one would recognize them outside of the mansion. That both helped and caused a bit of confusion.

Sometimes she would be out with one of the incubi and run into a friend or family member, and typically she could come up with a reasonable explanation. She'd claim the incubus was her friend, coworker, or roommate.

But for some odd reason, on this particular day, her mouth betrayed her.

Matthew and her were walking through the mall. Both of them holding cups of rolled ice cream, eating as they window shopped.

"Mmm, this is so good!" Matthew exclaimed.

Mika grinned. "Right? I mean, ice cream is amazing but rolled ice cream is just at a whole other level. You've never had it before?"

He shook his head. "Nope. I'd never even heard of it. When we first got here- look!" he said suddenly, pointing over to an entrance way with bright colored lights. "It's an arcade! Can we go? Please?"

Mika chuckled. "Of course we can! Let's just finish our ice cream first."

Matthew grinned and nodded, immediately starting to down his ice cream, despite Mikas gentle warnings of giving himself a stomach ache.

Soon they walked into the arcade, buying enough credits for the both of them to play for a while. They go around, playing each game while cracking up jokes and having a genuinely fun time. Mika always enjoyed moments like this with the incubi, it brought some comfort in the chaos that was her life. It brought a hint of normalcy in it as well, if you could call playing arcade games with an incubus normal.

Matthew had stepped away to go get more credits for them when a man approached her. "Hey there," he said, smiling warmly.

Mika smiled back, slightly confused as to why the random man was talking to her. Still, she remembered her fathers teaching and stayed polite. "Hello!"

Their conversation started out with small talk, simple and kind, until the man started to suggest something more. "So, what's a pretty girl like you doing here all alone?"

Mika blushed. "Oh- well, I'm not here alone," she managed to say, feeling flustered and slightly uncomfortable.

On cue, Matthew walked up to her, making the man tilt his head. "Oh, you're here with a friend?"

Immediately, Mika took Matthew's hand and laced her fingers with hers. "Boyfriend, actually. He's my boyfriend!"

Matthew looked at Mika with wide eyes, which she avoided looking at. Instead she kept her expression neutral, despite the redness across her cheeks. That seemed to satisfy the man, despite appearing to not fully be convinced. He left the two alone, both of them blushing brightly.

Mika looked at Matthew. "I'm so sorry, that guy was just flirting with me and I-"

He shook his head and chuckled. "Hey! Hey! It's okay!"

She furrowed her brows. "You aren't mad?"

He smiled goofily at her. "Nope! I'm happy I could help," he said, face still beat red.

Mika blushed even more when she realized she was still holding his hand, quickly letting it go. They stood there, both blushing messes before deciding to continue playing the game. The interaction stayed fresh on both of their minds, and in the back of Mika's mind, she hoped she could say those words about Matthew and mean it.
