~Matthew Price~
My hands were aching to just grab my keys and drive to the airport to see Liza already, though she wouldn't even be there yet since she probably is barely getting onto the plane. Her flight was exactly at 9:00AM, but waiting to let everyone else on takes up a bunch of time. Ugh, I couldn't wait to see her pretty face again.
Almost 4 long months since i've last since her. I genuinely haven't missed anyone else as bad as her...except for my younger brother of course. I've been counting down the days, having restless nights just because i've been thinking about how i'll be able to welcome her into my arms again.
I'm laying on the couch, casually scrolling through my phone. All of the guys are scattered around the living room, laying or sitting on the floor, while the three girls, Susanna, Gisselle, and Ana are taking up the only other available couch.
I wasn't even paying attention to the screen of my phone. All i could think about was Liza and if she was in the plane safely already, if she had eaten already and so many other questions that were swarming in my mind.
I had called her earlier, around 8:30AM, but she didn't answer. I texted her a couple of times too, telling her that I hoped she traveled safely and made it here with no problems. I might have also snuck in a couple of "I love you"s and "I miss you"s but no one's counting, right?
I'm pretty upset she never responded, but i'm sure she had her phone on Do Not Disturb, or maybe she just planned ahead and put it on Airplane Mode, who knows?
I was falling into another daydream of Liza when Ana's sudden worried tone of her voice caused all of our heads to turn towards her.
"Hey guys, Liza hasn't answered any of my text messages or calls since I first texted her this morning." Ana said, anxiously biting her nails.
Susanna and Gisselle nodded, "She never answered ours either" Gisselle added.
"Maybe she was just tired of hearing yall be so worried about her flying on a goddamn plane!" Adrian yelled from the kitchen, his voice muffled like if it was filled with food.
Ana rolled her eyes, follow by Susanna saying, "it's still fine to worry about her. It's just the fact it's been 2 whole hours since she last texted Ana, and she hasn't answered any of our messages or calls."
"Dude, chill out, she was probably busy texting Matt, right?" Felix said, making everyone's head turn to me.
I scratched my neck nervously, "No actually, she never answered me either. I was thinking she just had Do Not Disturb on or Airplane Mode on."
Susanna narrowed her eyes at me, "Do you even know how Airplane Mode works? And still, even if she had do not disturb on, she'd still be checking her messages."
Emilio sat up from the floor and tilted his head, "Doesn't Airplane Mode like, not let you send or receive messages?"
Susanna nodded and then looked at me to make sure I understood that, and to my knowledge, I had never known that. Not my fault I had never used Airplane Mode before or been on a plane before.
"I've never used Airplane Mode before." I mumbled.
"She's just calling you stupid at this point, bro" Isaac said, silently chucking to himself.
I rolled my eyes, leaning my head back against the couch. I saw Adrian walking out of the kitchen, making his way to the couch I was sitting on, to which he then proceeded to shove my legs away to make space for himself. I muttered the words "Asshole" under my breath as I sat up straight.
