After yesterday's events, I wanted to steer clear of Haku but, there was something so intriguing about the dark Commander that drew me in.

But that was 'bad Ezri' speaking because there was a man to whom I'd already pledged my unwavering allegiance and he went by the name of Blaze, the hero in this story. And what would I look like falling for the villain when it was evident what would come of the factions if Haku were to win?

I was wrong to let him touch me and examine my curves and the softness of my body like he owned me, it's embarrassing to say my instincts told me he was safe like he hadn't previously strangled me to the point of unconsciousness.

Universe help me.

Haku's sofa was the definition of impractical, what was the point in having a couch this big for one not to be able to sit on it, never mind sleep? The seat cushions were like concrete slabs beneath me, it was no wonder Haku had told me to sleep here, knowing full-well I couldn't.

And the Dark Commander rose earlier than the sun, there was no point trying to get back to sleep when the man I had to watch like a hawk was already up and likely plotting.

Not long after he'd woken, Haku had tossed me another set of his clothes just as baggy as the last before dragging me out of his castle where a black stallion stood tall and proud with a saddle and two smaller bags attached to each side.

I was glad the Commander didn't act like whatever happened yesterday truly occurred. He was just as cold as the first day I'd met him and I couldn't be more relieved, if I could erase the memory from my mind, I would.

"What's going on?" I questioned as he pulled me along by my wrist.

"We're headed on a business trip," Haku responded bluntly.

I shook my head, going anywhere with the Commander alone was a terrible idea and I knew we wouldn't really be headed on a 'business trip, I wasn't one of Haku's comrades, I was his enemy.

"No, let go of me," I demanded.

We stood in a courtyard surrounded by smaller castles packed closely.

The guards standing on opposite sides of the door making up the castle's exit suddenly made their presence known by stepping forward, hands resting on the blades in their

Haku waved them back to their positions as he turned to look at me.

I met his gaze with a challenging stare.

"Be good and I promise to spare your friend when I find him,"

It appeared the Commander of Offrost truly didn't know that Samson had managed to flee from his faction completely and I wouldn't be the one to give anything away.

Haku did that subtle half-smirk thinking he'd bested me but the joke was on him, Samson was long gone, and I wouldn't risk him starting a manhunt that expanded beyond Offrost.

I guess I had no choice but to follow him into the unknown.

I approached the majestic beast with the emerald eyes before snatching my arm from the Commander's stubborn grip.

The stallion was taller up close and I had no chance of getting on without assistance.

"Kneel," Haku commanded and the stallion did, regardless, I wasn't sure how to get on.

I could feel him behind me, mocking me with his glare, as I stared at the sleek beast.

Before I had the chance to complain, Haku banded an arm around my waist and lifted me onto our ride and of course there weren't two stallions, so as he climbed on, he was perched right behind me.
