Ezri
He was the devil in disguise, Gloria's big bad wolf and now my worst nightmare. People's depictions of Haku couldn't be any more accurate, he was a monster, a bully and an abuser so after I'd done the most impulsive thing in my entire life and bit him, I was surprised to find I was going to be sleeping in his room that night.
I was allowed the privilege of food, something I'd been deprived of whilst I was in the dungeon and I couldn't complain, the food was good. Initially, I was sceptical, I was still a prisoner and it didn't make sense for Offrost's Commander to be good to me but, the man in question swapped our plates whenever he realised I wasn't eating mine to prove it wasn't poisoned.
He'd said nothing to me after I'd bitten his hand, he'd just stared at me like I was a splodge of cream he wanted to lick off a plate, with low eyes and a heated glare as he'd sucked on the bloodied wound like he wanted to treasure the taste of my saliva on his skin.
Whatever I'd awoken in him didn't feel imminently bad but, I had a feeling it was worse than his anger. And an unpredictable man was a dangerous one and besides what I'd heard of his cruel past, I didn't know much about Offrost's Commander. Whether he tended to keep his female prisoners as sex slaves or if he was planning to use me as a pawn to antagonise Blaze by keeping me at his side.
And only a day ago he was strangling me within an inch of my life and now he wants to be kind? I'd never considered Haku to be anything such, so something was wrong, none of this was for my benefit but, it was too early to determine what his plan was.
Commander Haku's bedroom was bigger than any I'd ever seen before, he had a whole floor to himself in his mansion and his bedroom made up half of it.
A queen-sized bed and walk-in closet made up the main sleeping area before a set of stairs led you to a smaller living area with a lush animal fur couch with a sleek blag rug and a glass coffee table. To top it all off, he had a balcony and a wide magic mirror fitted on the wall opposite the couch, I couldn't say I was a fan of the luxury but it looked comfortable enough almost to make my circumstances seem like less of a nightmare.
"What am I doing here?" I'd asked after Haku had led me by my wrist to his room.
"You think I'm gonna let you have your own room, Glorian?"
I said nothing, I didn't want to bring out the monster I'd experienced when I first met Haku and my reply wouldn't be a nice one.
Haku approached a wide black drawer, where he pulled out a pair of loose pants and a large grey t-shirt before throwing them at me.
Despite the surprise, I caught both items before they could hit the floor.
The Dark Commander rose a suspicious brow like he knew there was something different about me but, there wasn't to go on.
I avoided his eyes as he stared.
He said nothing as he approached his bed where he began to change the bedding, starting with the pillowcases.
I stood there awkwardly, Haku hadn't specified where he wanted me to change and had likely done so for a reason. The bathroom door was only a few feet behind me but knowing the man in front of me, he'd knock the door down before he allowed me any freedom.
He'd been stuck to my side since he'd found me and I'd be foolish to think he'd let me out of his sight.
Gritting my teeth, my eyes met the floor as I turned to face the bathroom and placed the Commander's clothes down first before beginning to remove my own. Suddenly, I was self-conscious of my body, of its soft rolls and light hairs under my arms and between my legs, something told me my body wasn't in its most desirable state. Not that it should matter, I wasn't entertaining anyone nor would I be anytime soon.
