"Come inside, Myra. Stop staring at me with the door open." I tried to act all cool, but inside, my whole body was doing somersaults!

She gazed at me for a few moments before stepping inside and locking the door. I closed my eyes, taking a deep breath to brace myself for her inevitable questions.

"What the hell are you wearing? And what were you doing?" She interrogated, approaching me and scrutinizing me from head to toe, her face still flushed with embarrassment.

"Babe, I was feeling a bit itchy down there," I lied, to save my ass. If I confessed to what I had actually been doing, she would have definitely kicked me out of the room, in just my panties and bra. I knew my bestie well.

"Ohhh... It must be some infection. I have some V wash. Go use it, you'll feel better," she suggested, her voice filled with concern, but my eyes widened in horror as Kabir burst into laughter over the phone.

Shit.

Myra and I exchanged wide-eyed glances. I hastily switched off my phone, mentally cursing Kabir for getting me into this mess instead of helping me out.

"Who was that?" Myra asked, clearly taken aback.

"Nobody, babe. I was just watching some videos. My battery died," I quickly lied, showing her my phone as evidence.

"Oh, but you should have locked the door. What if someone else had come in?" She asked, narrowing her eyes.

"Umm, I totally forgot, babe. I'll keep that in mind for next time," I replied, hoping to distract her from the previous topic.

She shook her head in disbelief.

"By the way, you came a little late. Why?" I asked, trying to divert her attention.

"Umm, I was busy," she stammered, her cheeks turning red.

Am I missing something?

I narrowed my eyes at her.
