"Zayn, are you ready?" Kabir asked on the call as I stood wearing my black tuxedo with a black shirt.

After returning to the room from the garden, I took a hot shower to try to divert my mind from everything.

Now it was around 9:30 a.m., and I was all set to leave. Today was very important to me. In the meeting, I would finally confront that rascal Oberoi.

We had everything planned; now all we had to do was wait and see how he would approach me. My blood was already boiling at the thought of him. Today, I would finally meet him, and I already had an urge to kill him right there. But no, I decided to wait. I would kill him, but slowly and steadily, making him beg.

"Yes," I replied. Kabir and Marco were already waiting for me in Pune, with the meeting scheduled for around 11.

"Don't be late," Kabir teased, and I knew where he was going with that.

"It's an important day, Kabir. Very important," I replied before ending the call.

Exhaling deeply, I reminded myself to stay focused.

I didn't want even the slightest discussion about a certain someone. I just didn't. Distraction was not an option, especially not on such a crucial day.

As I prepared to leave the room, a pang of emotion tugged at my heart. I turned around and glanced at the bed where she had given me a head massage. Then my eyes drifted to the couch where I'd often seated, watching her.

No, no, no!

Shaking my head to clear my thoughts, I stepped out of the room and made my way towards the lift. However, my steps came to an abrupt halt when I spotted Myra with the manager.

Her head was hung low, and I could see she was scared and nervous.

"Is this how you're going to work here? So unprofessional of you, Myra." The manager scolded her, causing her to flinch, and I clenched my hands.
