I puffed  warm air into my hands, a numbing wind swept down the colossal mountains, we had walked all day and it was now late into the night. We decided to make camp at the bottom of the Frostback mountains and make the hike up to Haven the next day. I fumbled around trying to set my tent up as quickly as I could, I couldn't take much more of this cold that pierced through my armor, freezing me to my core, finally, I finished setting it up and barged inside, Assan flew inside and curled up in a ball in the corner; the interior of my tent was cold, but not as intense as the cold outside. I threw my pack down and fumbled through it briskly grabbing my bed roll and Duncan's blanket and spread them out on the ground, I pulled my cuirass and my greaves quickly and flung myself  down on my bed roll and sighed.

"Finally" I breathed as I unbraided my hair and it cascaded down my back. I wrapped Duncan's blanket around myself tightly and played with the gold embroidery, it was beginning to fray, I frowned and laid back onto my bed roll and pressed my hands against my face.

"Something the matter?" I heard Alistair's voice say, he was watching me and laughing to himself.

"No," I replied shortly and propped myself onto my elbow, looking over to the entrance of the tent, Alistair's head was peaking inside and smiling at me brightly; I rolled my eyes and gestured for him to come in, he hopped inside, rubbing his hands together, snowflakes were intertwined in his golden blonde hair and all over his armor.

"This cold is unbearable," I grumbled, curling up under my blanket, Alistair chuckled and flung his pack onto the ground grabbing his bed roll and spreading it out next to mine and hastily pulled off his armor revealing his white undershirt that was stained with blood, most likely mine, and torn around the bottom edges, but the collar had a gold, intricate design meandering all around the top of the shirt; I smiled up at him, he looked down at me, arching his eyebrows, I shrugged and rolled onto my side. Alistair groaned as he sat down, massaging his neck. "I am starving," I complained, Alistair rolled his eyes and laid down next to me, running his fingers through my hair and tucking it behind my ear.

"Me too," he breathed as I curled into him.

"How's everyone doing?" I asked, resting my head on Alistair's chest, he sighed and shrugged, "Leliana is bouncy, Morrigan is brooding, Wynne is acting... Well, grandmotherly, and Cullen is... Cullen." Alistair said, scowling as he said his name, I narrowed my eyes but ignored his tone.

"We need to start early in the morning," I said changing the subject and pressed my head back in the nook of Alistair's neck and closing my eyes tightly, he nodded and ran his fingers through my hair again, I sighed and fell asleep.

I rose early in the morning, the sun hadn't even come over the horizon yet, I quietly snaked my way out from Alistair who had his leg and arm thrown over me and was snoring softly. I slid my greaves and my cuirass on sluggishly and walked out of my tent; the ground was covered in a blanket of snow, and a light snow was still falling. I walked over to Wynne who was standing outside her tent, getting her things together.

"Sleep well?" Wynne asked, smiling over at me as I walked towards her.

"As good as possible I would say," I said as I tucked my hair behind my ears. "Alistair told me you have a leg wound?" Wynne asked, gesturing at my bandaged leg, I nodded.

"I could administer some salves to help with the healing process, as well as the pain." Wynne explained kindly, I smiled at her.

"That would be great." I said happily, she nodded and continued collecting her things.
