2:30 am—deployment day.
Walking out of the bathroom, I double and triple checked to make sure my uniform was up to standards. I moved to my duffel to make sure I had my clothes and any other things I would need for however long I'm gone for. I checked my phone when I heard it vibrate on my bed to see that Dante texted me that they were outside.
I grabbed my duffel and walked down the steps. When I made it to the living room, I saw my sisters, Bey, and Blue all sitting on the couches. When the heard my feet hit the hardwood floor, they looked back.
"It's about that time huh?" Coco said to me as she got up. I nodded, not really trusting my voice right now as I looked over at Blue's saddened face as she held Beyoncé tightly. She hugged me close and I did the same. "They'll be okay, we got them" Coco told me and kissed my cheek. I nodded and moved to hug Chance who was on the verge of tears. "Promise me you'll be okay?" She asked and I nodded, "you know Imma come back" I told her. "The boys are outside, go tell them get the hell in here for me" I told my sisters.
