"He hasn't moved from that spot—what is he waiting for?" Toby asked as he looked from the scope of his sniper from the top of the building he and I were waiting on. I placed my hand on my earpiece, "D, Mike, what's your status?" I asked them. "In position, Sergeant. Team 03 is waited on the back side of the building and the bomb squad is under water waiting for the signal" Mike's voice crackled through coms.
Let me fill you in on everything that has happened so far.
The trip to Johannesburg took two weeks and in that time, we've been planning out different tactics to take out Jerome and his people. When we got here, we couldn't strike just yet as it seemed like he had the whole small village he was situated in under strong surveillance.
We have been spending the last week or so just inspecting him.
"He's waiting for a shipment. New guns I'm assuming. Any eyes on the woman and or children?" I asked. "Negative—can't get close enough to see" Dante said. "So what's the plan?" Toby asked. I sighed, fixing my bulletproof vest a bit. "Let's try and plant some bugs in the building to see if we can spot them first. We don't need more casualties than I already intend on having" I said to him.
With my order, the boys besides Toby and I set out to plant bugs inside the building so I could get an inside look as to where the women and children were. I needed to actually see where they were before we moved forward with the plan.
After waiting for nearly two hours, Toby had eyes on men with all black carrying giant brief cases that I knew were big enough for weapons.
"Mike, D, a big man is coming your way 3 o clock!" Toby got out. Within a second, said big man came speed walking around the corner almost spotting the boys but Dante reacted quickly by elbowing him in his stomach before quickly covering his mouth when he screams and Mike came around choking the man from behind when he quickly recovered.
I didn't say anything but watched the boys do their thing. I may be their sergeant but those boys also had some moves to them themselves so I didn't need to eye them all the time.
I watched them take him down and drag him around the building so his body was out of sight.
"Dante?" I asked. "Not dead, just unconscious" he replied, knowing what I was about to ask. "He moved!" Toby said moving the scope of his gun. I moved closer to him, "doing what?" I asked. "He disappeared behind a room—wait" he paused. "Serg, take a look at this" he told me. I moved and looked through the scope.
