Luna
Sweet and Sebastian were in on my never-ending feud with Colton. They were the ones who tried to sort out our drama in college.
Now they're trying to end our conflict by forcing us to be in the same places. First, at the amusement park, and now, here. They knew we had to talk for their kids' sake.
Super sneaky.
I was wondering what they were trying to achieve. Peace and unity in the whole family? Perhaps they were thinking of having a reunion for the Stavrakos and Trebles family. They wanted everyone to be present.
While Colton was busy talking to her sister, I was left alone trying to crack the puzzle, which I figured was designed for adults who enjoy challenging jigsaw puzzles. As I tried to piece it all together, I couldn't help but think about what happened eight years ago when Sweet and Sebastian found out that Colton and I were roommates at NYU.
I was enjoying a nice bath when suddenly there was a loud knock on our room door. I immediately thought of Colton.
Where on earth is that humongous monster? Couldn't he just open the door?
I let out a groan and didn't bother with the door. It was likely his homies or teammates from basketball. There was always someone bothering him at the door.
After my bath, I dried off and put on a black shirt and gray PJs. Pissed off by the door-banger who wouldn't stop, I decided to open it and tell them to knock it off, cause the annoying ogre was not around.
I opened the door and was like, "No way!" Sweet was standing right in front of me.
"Luna?"
My face turned red when I saw her. I last saw her a few weeks ago at an awarding event. Sebastian introduced me to her.
"Hi, Sweet. Good to see you again!"
"Great to see you, too. I-I think I made a mistake...I'm looking for my brother's room." She checked the room number at the door. 402. "This is Colton's room, right?"
"Hmm...actually, no. This is mine."
"Your room? So they moved him to a different room."
"He hasn't yet, but he will. Maybe that's why he brought you here, to help him pack."
"I'm totally lost. What's going on here?" Her eyebrows shot up, looking puzzled.
"Oh, there you are, Sweet." Colton showed up with some bottled water. "I went downstairs to get these. Miss Luna-tic here used my drinking water for a bath."
My temper went through the roof. I got used to him calling me Luna-tic, cause I called him worse names. But in front of her sister? That was a big no-no.
"It's because Mr. Clown here used mine for his midnight brushing routine."
"Why did you do that? Couldn't you just use the tap water?" Sweet asked him.
"She's exaggerating again. It's not every night, only when I get back here late after basketball practice. The headmistress shuts off the water at ten while they fix the pipe leak. Obviously, I have to brush my teeth. I just borrowed her bottle..."
"No way, you didn't! You just took it without even asking. That's stealing!" I totally blurted it out at him.
"Ah, just like you did to mine today, so we're even now." Colton's comeback made me angrier.
"Hold on... hold on." Sweet raised her hands at both of us, then asked me. "You used bottled water for your bath?"
"She did to annoy me," he answered for me, and I shrugged because he was right.
