Luna

The Grand Ballroom at Stavrakos Hotel was beautifully adorned with round tables, white linens, shiny silverware, flickering candles, and vibrant flower centerpieces. Every corner of the room was filled with flowers, ribbons, and balloons. Above us hung an elegant chandelier, casting a warm and inviting glow.

The atmosphere was electric, with everyone mingling, sipping champagne, and engaged in lively conversations. A banner on the wall proudly proclaimed, 'Congrats, Luna and Barry!'

The rehearsal dinner party was meant for practicing the walk, enjoying a delicious meal, making heartfelt toasts, and listening to speeches that were not scheduled for the wedding day. Traditionally, it was reserved for immediate family members, close friends, grandparents, and the bridal party. However, Barry had a different plan in mind. He wanted all his friends and acquaintances to be present, eager to boast about our wedding.

That was alright, but what really surprised me was, he invited the media people. His reason, he wanted us to be all over the news tomorrow.

If that's what he wished for, then I'll go along with it.

By the way, he offered to cover the cost of the rehearsal dinner. So, I made sure that it was not paid for by the company, but out of his own pocket.

I got there at six, dressed in a casual gray dress. I said hello to everyone, exchanged pleasantries, and had a brief chat before the rehearsal began.

Colton, who wasn't part of the entourage, arrived early as well. He was consistently punctual, which was another trait I greatly admired.

My heart skipped a beat at seeing him. He greeted me with a brief hug and took a moment to compliment me on my appearance.

That made me blush. I knew I looked like a red tomato, but I couldn't help it. Colton always had the power to make me feel like a giddy sixteen-year-old girl seeing her crush.

Honestly, I was really looking forward to seeing him, especially since the last time we saw each other was on Saturday, when we were on a mission to catch Barry and Venus. Despite that, he consistently checked up on me and asked how I was doing. He would call me during the evenings, and we would have lengthy conversations.

Since the wedding was approaching quickly, Barry and I hardly ever get to spend time together. He had his own schedules to attend to, like having facial skin tightening, haircut, eyebrow trimming, tuxedo fittings, shoe shopping, and others. He is obsessed with his own image and constantly sought to appear flawless.

"Why are you mingling with the guests alone? Where is the groom?" Colton asked.

"As always, late."

His laughter made me laugh too, as we both shook our heads.

"Are you ready for tonight?" He asked.

Whatever he meant, I was ready for the evening.

"Yeah, I am. I don't need any practice."

"Definitely," he softly stroked my back, sending shivers of delight through me. I couldn't resist staring at his lips.

Oh no. I felt a sudden, intense longing in the pit of my stomach, yearning for his kiss once more.

Thank God Sebastian and Sweet arrived, interrupting the growing sexual tension between me and Colton. They greeted us with hugs and kisses.

Sebastian's eyes darted between me and Colton as he said, "I can tell that tonight will be a blast."

"Absolutely. You'll be entertained, brother. Can we expect a speech from you tonight?"

"Not this time," he chuckled, "I'll save it for your real wedding."
