Colton
I showed up at the Stavrakos Hotel Grand ballroom on Saturday at 7pm for Luna and Cox's engagement party. The place was super fancy and jam-packed. There was this famous band playing live and everyone was having a blast, singing, dancing, and drinking wine.
I looked around and saw lots of familiar faces. It was like a gathering of all the fancy and famous people. From celebrities, models, actors, actresses, and famous socialites.
I decided not to go to the Glamour Office yesterday. I figured I should get myself together before seeing Luna again. I started catching feelings for her and it was driving me crazy. I just couldn't get her out of my head, and all the stuff we talked about. I had such a good time talking to her I didn't want it to stop. But falling for her wasn't on my agenda. It's like stepping into the danger zone.
Now, I feel back to normal. In my own head and heart. No way was I going to let myself get caught up in emotions and attraction to Luna.
I waved at the familiar faces as I walked through the party, searching for Luna and Cox. Got to make sure they know I'm here before I blend in with the rest. Or I could just leave and chill with Gerald at a bar.
"Colton!" Cox grabbed my hand and gave me a bro hug. "Glad you're here, man!"
I said, "Congrats," and then turned to Luna.
I literally stopped breathing. She looked absolutely gorgeous in that long beige dress. I was completely awestruck and couldn't take my eyes off her.
Uh-oh. My head and heart are going crazy again. Seeing her made my heart skip a beat and brought me this unexplainable happiness.
"Thanks for coming," Luna said, giving me a smile that lit up my world. "Have fun for the rest of the night."
"I will." I said, holding her eyes.
Cox, feeling a sense of ownership, wrapped his arm around Luna's waist and placed a tender kiss on her delicate cheek. It somehow made my blood pressure go up, making me so annoyed.
"Hey, babe. Great seeing you here! I thought you were already back in L.A."
I turned when I recognized a woman's voice I knew. It was Nadia, no doubt.
"Obviously, I didn't." I was ready to leave when she reached out and grabbed my arm.
"Oh, you know them too? That's so cool, huh?" Her red lips spread into a smile, then she looked at Barry and Luna. "Way to go, you guys. I hope your marriage is a success."
"Thanks." Barry's curious gaze shifted from me to Nadia. "Wait, you guys already know each other?"
"Of course." Nadia playfully touched my chest and flashed a flirty grin, showing them, we have something special. "We've been hanging out for quite some time. Isn't that right, babe?"
My lips pressed together tightly as I watched Luna's eyes widened.
We had a way out when more guests arrived. I walked ahead of Nadia, but she followed me.
"Hey, Colton, wait up. Come sit with us. Let's hang out for the rest of the night." She invited me. "I miss you so much, babe."
I stopped walking and turned to her.
"Why did you do that?" I asked her when I knew nobody could hear us.
"What did I do?" She asked.
"You basically told them we have something."
"Why would I keep it a secret? We've got something really special, babe. We've been fucking for what..."
"I told you. We're over."
