Luna

When Remedios came into the kitchen after walking Bonnie, she asked. "You're cooking for someone, huh?"

"Yep, Colton's coming."

"Ah, you mean Mr. Treble." Her eyes twinkled, teasing. "He's a gentleman through and through, just like his sister, Miss Sweet, who exudes kindness and politeness."

"I agree," I said, nodding my head. "I know you like it when he calls you by your name."

"Of course, he never just called me 'maid.' That showed how respectful he is as a person. I like it too that he was looking out for you when you were feeling down."

I smiled, thinking about how sweet he was, bringing pizza to make sure I ate and texting to see if I was okay.

"Want some help? I can set up the table for you."

"Nah, I'm good, Remedios. Don't worry, I'll handle everything, even Bonnie. Go ahead and take your break early."

"Aw, thanks Miss Luna. I'll be at the servant's quarter and watch my favorite TV series. Just call me if you need anything."

"Sure."

After she took off, I got ready for dinner. I quickly showered and threw on a comfy beige shirt dress. I carried on cooking the rib eye steak and got the chicken vegetable salad ready.

At seven sharp, I had the table already set.

When the doorbell rang, my heartbeat faster. I was too excited to see Colton. It had been five days since I last saw him, and it felt like five years.

When Bonnie heard the sound of the doorbell, she quickly dashed ahead of me towards the door, barking loudly.

"Shh. Behave, Bonnie. We have a guest." I whispered to my dog, and her alert, button-like eyes locked onto mine.

The moment I opened the door, my breath literally stopped as soon as I saw Colton. Standing there, he appeared incredibly stunning and breathtakingly beautiful. In his hands, he cradled a bottle of wine and a small, plush dog toy.

"Hi!" It took some time, but I eventually found my voice and broke the silence with a cheerful greeting.

"Hello, Luna."

When he hugged me, I felt completely weak in his arms. His warm body pressed against mine, and I could feel a surge of excitement coursing through me. When I smelled his cologne mingled with his distinct, manly scent, a wave of warmth and joy washed over me, evoking memories of Christmas celebrations with family.

Briefly, he let go of me. Despite that, I could feel the force of the sexual tension between us vibrating strongly.

"Come in," I gestured, my hand inviting him inside. Full of excitement, Bonnie barked loudly and eagerly wagged her tail, hoping to catch Colton's attention.

But he just smiled and not moving an inch.

"What's wrong?" I asked him.

"Your hair and your clothes." He said, as his eyes studied my appearance. "It's like looking at the Luna I used to know eight years ago."

"Oh," I smiled lightly. "I decided to be myself, show the real me, and get rid of the image Barry wanted me to project."

"That's good. You look more stunning, classy and confident in your natural hair color and manner of dressing. I like it way better."

"Thanks, Colton."

He entered the house, and gave me the Chardonnay, then he bent down to Bonnie, "This is for you, my new friend."
